Best Place to Watch Paw Patrol?

My DS is obsessed. Particularly with the "Save Christmas" episode . I can't stand kids adverts on TV so he doesn't get to watch Nick Jr or anything 'live'. I'll sit with him and watch paw patrol episodes on you tube but the quality is just awful and it's only a matter of time before he stumbles on something which has been dubbed with rude words or worse. The adverts also annoy me, but at least you can skip most after a few seconds.

So I'm wondering about signing up to Netflix, Amazon Prime or something similar? Trying to find out what programmes are on these services seems ridiculously difficult though! From what I can tell, Netflix only has one series of Paw Patrol, and no Postman Pat, Fireman Sam or Thomas?

Can someone help? Where am I best looking? Is paying for a season pass on you tube another option? I'm struggling to find a way to do that on my phone though...

To add some context, I'm 35 weeks pregnant and will be having ECS - so I'm trying to find ways to entertain him in the early newborn weeks if we're all knackered. Sitting in front of a tablet isn't ideal...but sometimes needs must!!

We record all dc favourites and play them back to back, we can fast forward through the adverts.

Netflix has this and loads of children's programmes.

Also iPlayer is or 5's on demand service both of which are free may be a useful option.

Just remembered that sky has a kids app. Wondering if that's any good?

It's a slippery slope from there though. There is some genuine shite on there that is inescapable ds bloody loves

Yes the save Christmas one is on there. So is Halloween and rubble dreams of dinosaurs.

Think I could probably reel off the scripts word perfect at this point.

Is google right in telling me that there is no Fireman Sam or Thomas on Netflix?

Netflix has 2 series, is ad free and you can create a kids profile which only displays content rated U or PG so it's harder for them to find inappropriate things.

Thomas and fireman Sam are also both on netflix

At least there are some half decent mummy programmes on there too. I've always fancied Orange is the New Black.

Do you have Sky? They have eleventy billion episodes on catch up (no ads)

Another daft question though - how do you actually watch it? Is the app easy to customise for small people?

Ds 3 has a kids account, you can even search preschool age stuff and 'watch with the family' - read "won't make you want to throw the TV out of the window"

Yes Fusion we do have sky - I've never investigated the sky kids app though. That's something to do tonight I think.

He loves you tube as he can quickly change between episodes/ shows. Is that as easy on Netflix / sky app? Or are you actually downloading the episodes to watch rather than streaming them? I don't even know if that question makes sense. "Streaming" is not a word I've ever really used in a sentence before.

When you're setting up the separate accounts on the subscription (think you can have four?) you just choose adult or kids.

So we have Netflix but ds dp and i all have separate accounts and you click on the one you want to watch.

We usually watch on the pc (TV as the monitor) but I'm logged in my phone, my kindle and dp on his ipad.

Can also log in via virgin media box.

You tube kids app means no comments and only kid friendly content.

Just a quick update to say the sky kids app is actually quite good - and the "save christmas" episode is available, phew! Think we'll go with it for a while but may try the Netflix free month trial once baby arrives as I'll need a good box set or twelve to get me through the first few weeks of feeding...

Discovered You Tube Kids last week .... don't know why it hasnt been done before tbh I love it so far and kids love it too.

I discovered the kids You Tube by accident when I went on the regular you tube. Apparently its not on X box yet but we were watching it yesterday on the tablet so that's obviously ok.
Because four year old was on it we got as far as PJ masks and Paw Patrol so I have only had a quick flick through it up until now, there are songs and music section and an educational section there from what I have seen I am quite impressed and so glad they have brought it out.

Think Miaow has it nailed there. The suggestion could only be improved by including ear plugs.
