Busby quintuplets!!

Wonder if anyone is watching this. It's on TLC on Monday night at 9 - I found it by accident, just scrolling through looking for something to watch. It's an American family- (Adam and Danielle) they have a 6 year old daughter and "quints" who are 15 months old. The babies look identical to me - all red haired though both parents and 6 year old all have dark hair. I don't know if an egg can split into 5 - I wouldn't have thought so? Maybe identical triplets and identical twins - not sure.

They live in an enormous house which must have cost a fortune! I can't believe that there is not help going on behind the scenes as both parents appear bright eyed and bushy tailed, and I don't think that would be the case if you were looking after 5 toddlers single handed! One of the babies has just had to have eye surgery and both parents are obviously stressed about this. Danielle is clearly the boss and her mother has just moved in with them, though don't think Adam really wanted that to happen.

It's not clear what Adam does for a job but it must cost a fortune - on a recent trip to the supermarket Danielle filled a huge trolley just with nappies, wipes and milk! I imagine they will be paid well for the TV show and maybe other sponsors behind the scenes.

Would be interested in what other MNs think about the programme.

I suppose now we could chat about how cute the girls are 😂 let's not forget the older one too!!

The parents haven't given many interviews but they must have FT help that isn't shown on the programme?

Like often D&adam are out with 1 child, or at hospital with lots of relatives but the prog doesn't say who is babysitting

Tbh the 2 parents seem to have more 1/2/1 with Blake than I did when I had 3 young DC

It's a bit shit that TLC channel on Sky is ending this week! I've watched the season but I was enjoying watching it again . Got to laugh that Sky are removing channels and then send me a email telling me my landline price is going up.....I don't even have the phone plugged in.

I think that was the point I was making proseccomama - there is no way that Danielle and Adam can look like they do if they are caring for 5 babies of the same age! Neither ever look tired - on the contrary they look bright eyed and bushy tailed.......the babies must be up in the night some of the time but the parents look like they've had a good 12 hours! I don't begrudge them, I just wish they were more honest. And Danielle is meant to be coping alone now Adam has gone back to work..................no way!!

They did of course look very stressed about Hazel's eye surgery as you would expect.

And that house - I can't get over it - it looks like a church from the outside so maybe the church bought it for them or had it built. I know they bought the bus! Again great - they need whatever help they can get but should be honest about it.

Everyone is talking about the babies being adorable - but that's only because there are 5 of them. Don't think anyone would be saying that if there was only 1. Blake is adorable though!

My friend with triplets was a physical and emotional wreck for years - she had 3 other children under 10 when the triplets were born. She didn't get any help from anyone, and she agrees that it's ridiculous that they are setting this up to look like the parents cope with a babysitter now and again.

freshstart you can get lots of parts of the programme online. I just put in Busby Quints and there were loads of them.

Is Tlc Paying them £££ do you think? I mean hiring a yacht would be expensive with champagne and a chef.

Yes I did see it PM and I totally agree - it's all a sham - there are an army of helpers I reckon and all that is edited out of what goes out on air. They just show the bits where the parents are on their own or Mimi looking after the quints. The 886 would be dollars and I'm not sure of the exchange rate but still a hell of a lot to spend on clothes - no ordinary family could afford that or eve a well off family. And they looked like just little dresses, nothing major. I think I saw somewhere that the reason the quints are all dressed alike is because they get their clothes from the same designer and it;s good publicity so they get them free.

Someone is bank rolling this family - or a variety of sources maybe but certainly TLC will be involved, although I gather the programme isn't being show again - looks like SKY have pulled out or TLC - not sure how it works.

Of course you need masses of help with quints and a 6 year old but I just wish they'd be honest instead of this charade they put on! Don't suppose it would make good tele to see all the childminders/babysitters! Mind I feel sorry for Mimi - well and for Adam really as he's fed up with her already but Danielle will have her way. Anyway doubt we'll see any more

Oh and the yacht and surf and turf - ridiculous. What mother of 6 can look like she does drifting off into the sunset on a yacht...............

Just caught up on last nights episode. The amount she spent on clothing for so little is ridiculous!!

Am not sure they do have help , obviously my situation is different because not the same age. When my dd7 was born ( he is now two his four siblings closer to his age were ,11 month old twins, a 2 year old and a four year old pre schooler.
