OMG I never want to see Ian Beale wiggle his bum ever again - euggghhhhh xx

SuperFlyHigh · 04/10/2016 20:00

Just read an interesting article...

Loads of characters are leaving.

I don't get how Claudette was so easily forgiven after her violent attack and also what happened to Paul's mum, she turned up then went away then Paul died, that could have been a really juicy storyline.

SoTheySentMeA · 04/10/2016 20:02

Carmel and Linda (and all the women portrayed as clingy mothers for that matter) get on my nerves with all this crap about getting the hump because their children want to leave home. Lee is late 20's right? And Kush is in his 30's!

My mum wasn't like this about any of us leaving home and I hope I manage not to emotionally blackmail DSD or DS into staying when they're ready to leave! Honestly, do the writers really think all mums are like this? Because that's how they've been portraying them for years. Pauline Fowler, Dot Cotton, even Bianca was like this about Liam. Not every mum clings to their children as their only purpose in life, especially when they're old enough to look after themselves!

Can someone explain to me what happened between Pam / Kathy and Simon's mother - I was distracted and didn't hear what was said - thanks

Akire · 04/10/2016 20:32

Why would Carmel rent a big 3/4 bed house when Stacey old flat would been much cheaper. Honestly does no one think about these things?

Wonder who will have Stacey flat then as limited sets, Max? Lee Whitney?

Long conversations were good tonight (Ian bum notwithstanding)

Agree who said about Claudette we had big story lines then nothing. What job is she supposed to be doing?

Looking to Christmas we have a possible Denise bSby line as she what 5m now. No weddings this year? Thought Whitney Lee were later in the year?

celeste83 · 04/10/2016 21:17

At last Ian talks to Jane. They were great tonight.

Carmel has an office. Who knew.

We saw the chippy tonight for the first time in ages. Didn't realise Billy was still working there.

If Lee and Whitney are getting married who is paying for it? And why isn't Lee out looking for a job rather than hanging around the Vic?

EnidButton · 04/10/2016 21:18

Akire How utterly shit that having a disabled loo isn't a strict law. Disgusting actually.

Yes she was out for hours. Why on earth didn't it occur to anyone. Sad I was thinking it when she was in the salon.

MrsJ No such thing as over sharing on MN. Cake

Haven't watched tonight's yet.

EnidButton · 04/10/2016 21:22

My mum wasn't like this about any of us leaving home

I think my Mum was probably glad of the peace. Wink My Dad definitely was. Grin I do know some mother's who can't let go though. Ones who still do their son's washing and good shopping when they've moved out two years ago.

EnidButton · 04/10/2016 21:23

Food shopping

AlasEarwax · 04/10/2016 22:27

I think there is a disabled loo in the Vic. I remember Donna going in there at some point recently, but I can't remember anything else about that scene.. Off the top of my head I think its in the right hand corner if you were standing behind the bar facing the doors... Will look out for it when I watch tonights one tonight and confirm.

Akire · 04/10/2016 23:28

It would be odd for pub to have disabled loo given there are steps to get in! Donna aside most people who use wheelchairs can't just get out at walk when they need too. I use heavy electric chair so you coulnt lift it up steps even if you wanted too.

so pub out, mini mart is out, laundrette out, chippy out etc. It's like they do some issues like Janet's well and sentive my but practical stuff that would get 70% of general population to think oh yea my local high street is 50% steps not mentioned. Rant over!

AlasEarwax · 04/10/2016 23:49

Rant away Akire Smile my sister uses a wheelchair when she's out and she's only just got an electric one... Not as big as Donna's, more like a standard push along one with a battery underneath and the knob thing on the arm rest. Sometimes we have to use the push along chair if mum (her carer) has driven her somewhere like town for example because the battery chair is too heavy for mum to lift into the boot of her car. Its amazing how difficult it is to get into some places, whether she is steering herself around or we're pushing her. You realise how bad the pavements are for one thing and also how difficult it is to get into some shops. I do sympathise, its hard work when it really shouldn't have to be Sad

Jasonandyawegunorts · 05/10/2016 07:46

The Ian and Jane storyline has been really good.

SoupDragon · 05/10/2016 10:31

Yes, it has. It's been good that they've show both of them struggling rather than coming home and everything being rosy.

SoupDragon · 05/10/2016 10:32

I loved the lasagne scene.

iknowimcoming · 05/10/2016 12:40

Just watched last nights episode and loved it! The Ian and Jane stuff was very touching even though Ian is bleurgh! Also really enjoyed the Carmel and Donna and Pam/Honey/Cathy scenes and there was even a proper duff duff!

EnidButton · 05/10/2016 15:55

I liked last night's too. Ian and Jane actually seemed like a couple. Until he had his head on her shoulder and then they went back to Mummy and little boy Carmel and Donna were great with the letting agent.

MrsJayy · 05/10/2016 16:00

Didnt tamwar have a portakabin so how come carmel has an office

iknowimcoming · 05/10/2016 16:36

There was a market inspectors office back when Tamwar was second in command to the polish guy who lived with Roxy forgotten his name sorry, they did quite a few scenes in the office when Tam was snooping about his secret wife/child. Seem to recall some scenes with Mr Lister in there too, think there was a storyline about someone embezzling the pitch money - maybe Masood and Tam got the blame?.......

EnidButton · 05/10/2016 16:45

I've just remembered Roxy's lovely boyfriend with the hair. They should bring him back.

iknowimcoming · 05/10/2016 16:51

Luca?

southeastdweller · 05/10/2016 17:07

Alex, I think.

iknowimcoming · 05/10/2016 17:12

Yes Alex! Well done!

Akire · 05/10/2016 18:46

Didn't they have Alex as full time market inspector and tamwar. Now just one person? Though quite how 20 stalls need full time manager I don't know.

OorWullie1936 · 05/10/2016 19:10

Why didn't Carmel 'accidentally' pour a drink over Jane to spare her embarrassment?
