Such a dissappointing episode. Are EE not allowed to do their trademark gangster stuff anymore. All that happened was Jay charged at one then the four held Jay and Ben down. Then Grant and Mark turn up and they run off. That was it. WTF was Grant on about stopping the car to talk about directions.

I wanted Grant to go all Mitchell and batter the fuck out of that smug twats face. They killed Ben actually being happy for once! It was a bit pathetic although like he said, it would ruin the court case (since when does a Mitchell care about court though).

Am impressed with the lack of dragging things out recently. Finding Paul's killers, Grant finding out Mark is his, Denise finding out she is pregnant and that it's Phil's, the speed with which we discovered Steven was behind the robbery. Could get used to this.

One of the worst episodes for a while, oddly lacking in tension and thrills. I also can't take Grant seriously as a hard man anymore - I don't think he belongs in EE now.

I have been finding Grant strangely camp in recent episodes!
I think Vincent was working in the bar the night Phil & Denise got drunk and went off together, he might have an idea that Phils the dad.

There is probably a lot of pressure on Ross Kemp - many were eagerly awaiting his return, were peeved he wasn't in it long enough around the time Peggy died and then he returned and everyone is expecting fireworks. He hasn't been in it for years, its probably not his bag anymore but I really enjoy him being back. I think its the anticipation that something could kick off .

As an aside whoever is doing Phil's makeup is bloody great!

What a shite episode! Dullest thing I've seen in a long time. They really need to get their shit together over at EE and start producing some quality.

Phil has been an absolute arsehole. Emotionally abusive, nasty, neglectful, cold, crap father, terrible husband and basically an all round cunt. So how come the second he hits the deck about 9 people are buzzing around concerned for his health and wellbeing? I didn't think it was possible to fit that many people into their yard. (Diagram anyone? )

Just realised that was a bit harsh. I actually quite like Phil. Eastenders wouldn't be the same wthout him. Think it's just becoming a bit over crowded with Mitchells lately.

I don't understand how he has so many people living with him. It just doesn't fit with his personality. He is grumpy, short tempered, intolerant. How does he stand to have so many young people around? I particularly never understood how he tolerated Abby? She would boil anyone's piss.
