Wow.

I've never felt this before, but all I can say is that every member of Parliament should be ashamed that this is happening on their watch. I defy anyone watching this to not want to increase the higher tax rates.

Was this on last night? One minute I was almost crying when the baby was born, and next minute because someone had died. It was Reality tv at its raw-est.

CrazyDuchess · 05/07/2016 22:27

Watching it now.... bloody hell! I lover the first series this is amazing

TheFairyCaravan · 05/07/2016 22:34

I've just watched one on 4seven.

There was bloke phone with an eyelash in his eye Shock, another with an ingrowing toe nail, and another because he couldn't get home. Hmm

Why do people think it's ok to phone for an ambulance for such trivial, ridiculous things. And some people are so rude. One bloke was terribly rude when he was being advised about what was best for his drunk friend.

Shocking.

ThomasRichard · 05/07/2016 22:35

What's the tax link?

BiscuitMillionaire · 05/07/2016 22:37

One of the most compelling pieces of real-life TV I've ever seen. Even though it was almost all just heard, not seen. Really wanted an update on the stabbing victim.

228agreenend · 05/07/2016 22:42

Yes. I was hoping for an update also, plus cute picture of baby.

RedMapleLeaf · 06/07/2016 08:47

What's the tax link?

I was thinking along the line of the austerity cuts and chronic under-funding. Watching the call handlers and the emotional impact of dealing with the emergency rule was shocking. I can't imagine knowing that I had no choice but to refuse an ambulance to a stroke victim because there's only enough provision for people who aren't breathing.

It's not refusing an ambulance though. It's that you only stay on and give advice. The ambulance will still go but it's a case of triage and hang up, not give all the instructions

RedMapleLeaf · 06/07/2016 22:04

It's not refusing an ambulance though

The caller had been waiting for 2 hours for an ambulance to attend her husband after having a stroke!

Yes... But they will still be going
We aren't saying no we can't go at all

Creatureofthenight · 06/07/2016 22:13

I'm in awe of how patient they are with some of the idiots that ring about nothing.
I agree it is awful to see/hear people not being able to get help because the service can't cope with demand.

notamummy10 · 06/07/2016 22:13

I didn't know it cost £8.47 for every call!

We've only had to get an ambulance out once, and that's because I had severe dehydration & collapsed! The ambulance got to my house before the paramedic car did.

I felt sorry for the call handler that took the hoax call about the stabbing though!

grannyinwaiting · 06/07/2016 22:38

Was it a hoax? That is awful

notamummy10 · 06/07/2016 22:45

I believe so, that's what they are saying on Twitter!

228agreenend · 06/07/2016 23:05

That's awful if it were a hoax.

Sleepingbunnies · 06/07/2016 23:08

Didn't know the call was a hoax! Although was weird when the bloke who had been stabbed came on the phone.

hollinhurst84 · 06/07/2016 23:09

Not unusual sadly

Ah okay... I assumed it was! Hope the guy is okay now!
