Jay has a big (and interesting) storyline coming up with his new girfriend so hopefully they won't involve him with the Abi stuff. Plus he is very, very loyal to Ben. He has never mentioned to anyone that Ben tried to kiss him, was on a gay dating app or that he's slept with Paul.
The Kush and Sharon heart to heart - hope they build up an unlikely friendship.

I also thought shagging was in their future when Sharon and Kush had that scene together.

I don't think Martin's gone for good as EE always confirm when an actor has left permanently either before their final episode or immediately after, which they haven't done this time.

Awful writing in the scene with Kush and Sharon when Sharon asked Kush if he knew Martin's father. He died twenty years ago and Kush didn't grow up in Walford, anyway.

Apparently the actor who plays Martin went on paternity leave in real life and will be back soon.

this may be mean but did anyone else get the impression that martin was desperate to get stacey back in the house... to do the housework? I know it was stressful but he seemed to fall apart doing stuff like taking the kids to school and making them breakfast, even with the help of his teenage dd and sonia and tina and whitney and kush (at times).

stacey seemed to realize that if she came out, she'd immediately become the house skivvy.

If it had been the man who was ill, the woman would just on with it.

I definitely think Martin wanted Stacey out of hospital as he wasn't coping. You would think Jean may have come back to help look after her grandchildren.

Poor Martin has got to juggle not working on the market, sending Lily off to school all day, and looking after a baby with several family members to help him. It's more than his drippy brain can handle.

Hmm, i suppose this business with Ben will scupper Abis plan to actually become pregnant! I hope he finds out soon she is lying, the whole thing is just silly. If someone becomes pregnant and the man has an STD, could it affect the unborn child? i Really dont know, but its something to consider.

I agree with pp that women cope with things better but Martin is quite typical of most blokes (not all and I'm not getting into the wife work debate) but I think it's quite realistic looking at DH at bit

Ginger, i watched the documentry my baby and psychosis. Both dads were great, one was a GP and had a toddler at home ( the other baby was with the mum in an MBU, but she had to come home when mums condition became worse) i did spot a woman around to help ( his own mum i think) but he was coping ok, although he was very stressed, obviously, as his wife was very poorly. I just think there is more of an expectation ofwomen though and generally speaking we do just get on with it.
My own dh wouldnt have coped! Martins reaction to it all was quite realistic i thought.
