Kyle is from Blackpool, I think that's where Stacey's Dad was having his affair when he was travelling for work.
I think Stacey originally went abroad when she was first on the run. The last scene of her on the show was when she was on a plane after Max took her to the airport.

Eastenders has the oldest young people ever. They're all into settling down and quiet nights at the local pub. Even the middle aged ladies have more fun than Paul or Abi.

I'm sorry but Kyle is ridiculous. Stacey was literally being institutionalized and he was still haunting the square like a stalker. Either spit it out or jog on!! He could have told Martin ages ago who could have then arranged for Stacey to see him if she wanted to.

Reality is that Stacey would have told him to get lost but because this is The Issue Of The Week, she is going to have to react Perfectly even though in reality most people would have no interest in a long lost brother of your dad's secret family with poor boundary issues, trans or not.

Kyle's speech about being trans was so cliché and embarrassing. "I was a tomboy and didn't like wearing dresses, so obvs I became a man" And yes, it seems like the writers just want to be cool by commenting on the issue of the day.

I agree about the embarrassingly shallow speech; I liked football therefore I was a boy. I wonder if the actor himself has had any input into his script, he's actual transgender in rl isn't he? Would be quite good to have someone with rl experience of something to actually have some input for once, unlike so many storylines where it's quite clear the writers really don't have any idea.

As if being a woman/girl = wearing dresses and not playing football. many women/girls don't wear dresses. Some even play sport

I too thought they way the issue was handled was very clumsy but gave them the benefit of the doubt that perhaps the actor was involved in writing that bit

Thank you - I thought it was just me! I listened to his speech twice and was still - I thought that my having a transgender actor play the part it would have been done better.
Also if I was Martin I would have been insistent Stacet tell me- how many secrets and lies is he prepared to put up with?

Martin looks about 5 min away from a nervous breakdown so naturally stacey asked him to (1) move in a complete stranger (2) get married (3) accept kush's involvement

it's obvious the wedding is not going to happen!

I'm looking forward to a good Eastenders wedding. Stacey's last two were pretty good. The first one she was shagging her FIL, and the second time with Bradley he died straight afterwards, so this one should be exciting!

I just wish Pauline was still alive to be the disapproving mother in law again.
