Just watched this on catchup. Those poor girls. I can't believe the adoption agency was so cruel as to separate them!

It was so interesting. I bet they'll choose to be together when they're older. Was heartbreaking when one of them said "if we were together, we would be the best sisters ever."

I watched this today and found it very emotional, when Alexandra told Mia's dad at the airport that she loved him I was sobbing.

I was sobbing too and I never cry at stuff on TV. It was heartbreaking.

Gosh just watched this and found it very emotive, sob sob.
Having recently looked after identical twin sisters , I find it so sad that these girls are living apart.
Both sets of parents are fantastic, what a horrible situation for them.
Do hope the twins both have happy lives and find a way to be together when they are older.

I watched this too and I was very interested in the body language of Alexandra's parents - it was very guarded indeed, despite the fact that that there is obviously a high level of mutual respect between each set of parents. Thinking about it later I reached the conclusion that it is highly likely that Alexandra will follow her sister to America when she is old enough. They know that and it must be awful for them to think that she is probably going to leave them.

007 - couldn't the difference in body language be cultural?

My heart broke for Mia when her new parents took her from her carer- she was screaming and her dad said "why are you crying- we are here now" and she looked so miserable in the first few days. I know it is for the best and the good attachment with her carer will help her bond with her new parents, but my heart still ached for her.

These things always renew my respect for foster carers.

I just watched this on I player and have been blubbing. Really beautiful and thought provoking film. Those two lovely girls are very lucky in so many ways but the situation is heartbreaking.
