Anyone watching? Some people on this obviously have issues, however some of them really do seem just to be lazy

I thought it was the most disgusting house I'd seen. I agree there might be serious issues. Then again, I also think some people are just plain lazy.

My house isn't spotless by any means and I'd hire any of them to come and give it a deep clean, minus the bleach freaks.

I was shouting at the tv. I was so cross. The little boy was at nursery four days a week. FFS how long does it take to clean a house. She had time to get her nails done.

Appalling, that poor boy. Really upsetting that he couldn't touch the toilet but she didn't think to clean it.

Her mother wasn't very helpful. My DM would be horrified if I didn't clean my toilet for four years.

fourwoodenchairs · 26/11/2014 12:28

That young woman with the boy was just purely lazy. Neglect fits the bill perfectly.

I only caught the end of this, but if that woman's mum could look after her child while they were making the programme, she surely could have looked after him for a couple of days so she could have got on with the cleaning herself Hmm. If that was me, my mum would have been in making me get it sorted. I was shocked she had a child - he really was living in a state of neglect Sad

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/11/2014 15:30

sizzles I noticed that about Her nails. Lovely French ones but couidnt clean her house?

It's neglect to her child making them live like that

ChoochiWoo · 27/11/2014 16:39

I think depression must be some issue here, its worth mentioning I have depression and on a bad day i barely get fuck all done beyond , feeding kids, dressing , basic wash and nappy change...might get one load done , I suspect she may be undiagnosed.

ChoochiWoo · 27/11/2014 16:44

Im a bit concerned at the bleach happy ones, especially on surfaces where foid is prepared, I thinks it dangerous to hail them as fantastic housewives with something to teach us, you can never guaranteed youve removed it all and if thats ingested ....you're dead!...Whilst filth is wrong is not lethal! I wonder if this programmes exasperates ocd tendencies.

alemci · 28/11/2014 20:18

bleach poisons the ecosystem and some of the obsessive cleaners are far too liberal with its use.

Viviennemary · 28/11/2014 20:21

I'm amazed these people have the nerve to even appear on TV when what they're doing is bordering on neglect with such young children. I wonder if they get a visit from SS.

Germgirl · 29/11/2014 15:24

I don't really get the bit where the super-cleaners go to each others houses with their swabs & do a bacterial count. The commentary says that it so they can see that the house is clean & therefore cut down on cleaning but surely it'll just reinforce the belief that the bleach & antibacterial spray are doing a great job & to keep on using them?
Agree about the lady this week though, the one with the little boy, I really don't think she had MH issues, she had time and inclination to get her hair coloured & cut & have her nails done but no inclination to clean her loo? Just laziness.
I've been very depressed & at times I couldn't even bring myself to get dressed, let alone put on makeup & have lovely hair & nails.
I was surprised that her mum didn't make her tidy up a bit.
