Don't think you will actually 'spoil' it really.

The songs just might not mean as much that's all, without knowing the story behind them.

I am so sad. I'm just equating it with Grease and how I so loved that as a youngster and it's just rekindling the same feelings!!!

Is the Disney channel going to show the whole thing again then?

Ok, so now I get it!! dd sat entranced, we had to drag her away to bed with the promise that she could watch the rest in the morning - even dh sat and watched some with his cuppa!

I like having the subtitles with the songs - helps with dd's literacy

do you think its suitable for a 5 year old dd?

My dd who is 6.4 loved it - my dd who is 3.4 liked dancing to the songs but got a bit wriggly. It's very tame 'Disney' so your 5 year old should be fine.
