Hi Giles!

They have the strangest relationship.

often they don't even need to say anything they just know.

but despite trusting only eachother they never tell eachother anything outright.

one hell of a leap of faith they both tale to keep running back to each other no questions asked when they repeatedly with hold information

VashtaNerada · 04/01/2015 21:22

Yes that's true. They lie to each other constantly, don't trust each other with their feelings, and yet leave their lives in each other's hands and risk everything to save each other.

Maybe it's a guilt thing. every time one of them. does something for the other they end up in trouble or hurt.

They keep doing it because they think. It's their fault?

VashtaNerada · 04/01/2015 21:26

FFS Scully. You can't even tell your brother?

OP posts:
Gileswithachainsaw · 04/01/2015 21:27

He was spot on as well.

VashtaNerada · 04/01/2015 21:27

I think Mulder feels guilty that her life has changed so much since she met him, but I don't think she feels guilty. She just feels... responsible for him!

OP posts:
Gileswithachainsaw · 04/01/2015 21:29

He's given her plenty of opportunities to run. She never takes them.

VashtaNerada · 04/01/2015 21:29

You do get the feeling that he's the centre of her world but she's not the centre of his. Stupid bastard.

OP posts:
VashtaNerada · 04/01/2015 21:31

This is literally the most exciting thing that's ever happened to Mulder!

OP posts:
Gileswithachainsaw · 04/01/2015 21:31

But she made that choice. He never lied about what his life intention were and he left her behind on occasions to spare her the trouble it could cause. He never makes her come looking for him. In that sense she's only herself to blame.

But he is an idiot. In not realising what he has in her

Gileswithachainsaw · 04/01/2015 21:32

You really thought this was it back the proof of everything Grin

VashtaNerada · 04/01/2015 21:35

Oh yes, she totally has herself to blame! Ooh and I love it when she goes all badass Grin

OP posts:
Gileswithachainsaw · 04/01/2015 21:36

Yes. She's a feisty one when she needs to be Grin

VashtaNerada · 04/01/2015 21:40

This is uncomfortable... Poor Mulder. And poor Scully. Sad

OP posts:
Gileswithachainsaw · 04/01/2015 21:40

Poor mulder :(

VashtaNerada · 04/01/2015 21:42

Woah, how's that for making you feel guilty?!

OP posts:
Gileswithachainsaw · 04/01/2015 21:43

Oh scully. You must have known how that last comment would be like a knife straight through his heart. Sad

VashtaNerada · 04/01/2015 21:44

She's a bloody good actress! (Scully that is, obviously we already know GA is)

OP posts:
Gileswithachainsaw · 04/01/2015 21:44
Shock

so glad I know what's coming. She's good

VashtaNerada · 04/01/2015 21:45

So now I've rewatched the episode I realise she really does mean it when she thinks the whole thing is a hoax, it's just Mulder's death she was lying about.

OP posts:
VashtaNerada · 04/01/2015 21:47

I remember that cliffhanger first time round so well! I ran the school sci fi club Blush and I wrote the whole of Scully's last speech on an A4 poster to encourage ppl to come to a lunchtime viewing of that episode! (Kind of ruining the ending in retrospect...)

OP posts:
VashtaNerada · 04/01/2015 21:48

So straight into s5 next week then? (What's going to happen? Is Mulder dead? Will Scully die of cancer?? - just trying to build up the drama...)

OP posts:
Gileswithachainsaw · 04/01/2015 21:48

Envy @ school Sci Fi club.

I was one of 2 people in my class into this kinda stuff Blush

Gileswithachainsaw · 04/01/2015 21:49

It will be a tense week! !!

Gileswithachainsaw · 04/01/2015 21:50
