Big Brother Thread 4 - Will Semen & Fingerley's Showmance be blown apart?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 17/07/2014 23:04

Or will their romance drag on for another week of angst and gas-lighting?

Will someone tell Mark repeating other people's ideas is not being psychic?

Will Christopher realise Mark is taking him for a ride?

Will Biannca get her claws into Winston?

So many questions, so much time still to go. It is going to be a long summer....

falling apart

impatientlywaiting · 18/07/2014 17:36

Marking my place. Thanks for the new thread Anne.

FoxSticks · 18/07/2014 17:37

Ii don't think Emma had much choice but to close down the domestic violence discussion. Anyway I love Emma and in my eyes she can do no wrong Grin

I think Mark has read a lot into Christopher being picked as the mole and has realised that messing around with his emotions will do him no good. The only reason is promising a date is to try and curry favour with the public.

I'd like Bianca to go tonight - she is vile. I think it will probably be Pav that goes though. I think it would be social suicide for the newbies to vote off any of Helen's gang so i think it will be Chris, Ashleigh or Danielle to go.

impatientlywaiting · 18/07/2014 17:46

Just watched bit on the side, don't think Emma handled the DV comment very well, but I think she was very flustered and seemed to blush and be off for a few minutes afterwards.

I like that all three of the panel mentioned that Steven was controlling and possessive. Emma can't keep everyone from pointing out how awful he is.

Haggisfish · 18/07/2014 17:47

Hope semen goes, and pav. Drank too much last night so should refrain tonight, but might have to wine it up!

FoxSticks · 18/07/2014 17:50

I don't think Emma has stopped anyone from saying he is possessive or controlling but I don't think she could let the dv label be applied.

Chipstick10 · 18/07/2014 17:58

Emma was outrageous last night. Rude and humiliated that poor woman. Put me right off her.

TheReluctantCountess · 18/07/2014 18:05

I didn't watch last night's BOTS. I need to catch up before tonight's show.

ScouseBird8364 · 18/07/2014 18:22

Chipstick I agree, she's gone way down in my estimations Angry

WowserBowser · 18/07/2014 18:26

I think they down play certain behaviour - as they want to keep the entertainment up.

With Steven being emotionally abusive and obviously earlier on with Helen bullying.

It's like if they admit to it they would have to do something about it like get rid of them.

CrackedNipplesSuchFun · 18/07/2014 18:33

I didn't watch BOTS last night. It sounds like Emma didn't fair too well.

Will watch BB with much interest tonight as I am so hoping Steven and Biannnnnnnnncccccca go. goodness she's so vile

ScouseBird8364 · 18/07/2014 18:35

Is Biannca a she or a he? Not that it matters either way, just wondering if she/he has undergone a sex change Hmm

She or he, it is vile Envy Dirty looking, nasty, skank

KurriKurri · 18/07/2014 18:40

From last night's BOTS it sounds as if Pav will go (which is a shame as I think he might be an interesting HM once he settles in) but it always happens with vote to save - people who aren't loud and in your face don't survive.

So at least another week of Biaaaanca deciding whether to not to shove a bottle up her bum (will she, won't she?, oh - she's already done it)

At the risk of sounding like Emma, I really think you need to calm down the Biannca name-calling, Scouse Grin

Emma handles the woman in the audience really badly. She was so unprofessional. If she wanted to shut her up she should have done so in a way that wan't humiliating. She really isn't up to the job.

Who is then?

FelixFelix · 18/07/2014 19:20

I actually really love Rylan Blush

AnneEyhtMeyer · 18/07/2014 19:35

I think someone like Vanessa Feltz would be good.

I saw a clip earlier of BB5 and was quite surprised how well Davina came across. She wasn't a brilliant presenter but she seemed to know what she was doing rather than the current lot of amateurs on BB and BOTS.

Red What's Paxman doing these days ? Grin

onedev · 18/07/2014 19:36

I like Rylan but I love Emma Grin

wellnowthenmardybum · 18/07/2014 19:42

Missed last nights? Is it worth watching?

RedToothBrush · 18/07/2014 19:43

Vanessa wouldn't stop a conversation like that though. And that would create legal issues unfortunately. Ones that could result in BB being taken off air.

Whilst she gets to the point, she is a wild card in herself.

That job is an incredibly difficult role - one that I think is very underestimated due to how professional those doing are. Very few people have experience in live broadcasts.

It was interesting how Laurene Laverne ended up on 10 O'Clock live for example. C4 realised how few female presenters they had with experience in live broadcast and would be able to handle difficult situations like that which involved legal issues and immediate shut downs of conversation.

I'm not sure there are many presenters at all who do not get flustered in similar situations when they have been faced with them.

I think it wasn't the best handling, but under that kind of pressure most presenters would struggle to handle it better.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 18/07/2014 20:00

Vanessa is actually a professional presenter, so of course she would step in to prevent legal issues if she was the presenter.

Given the way shes handled herself on the show before I think she pushes the limits too far.

threepiecesuite · 18/07/2014 20:07

Why was Brian Dowland booted out as host? I never did find out.
