Yes. As mine tend to be up around 6 and it doesn't take us 2 and a half hours to get ready to leave the house I generally let them watch TV while I have a shower, make packed lunches etc.

I wouldn't if we got up later though as mine do that "glazing over" thing too and take three times as long to get dressed if the TV is on.

Yes but once when he has eaten breakfast, dressed, washed, brushed teeth. so only for about 10-15 mins before going to school.

No it has never occurred to either of mine to ask or me to suggest. Just never been an issue in our house.

yes... as long as they've had breakfast and got dressed and are basically ready to go!

no never - they would never leave the house - it would be 'can I just watch the end of....I just want to watch....'. And I also discovered that ds1's standard of behaviour plummets through the floor if he has tv before about 4 in the afternoon (no idea why, but it's true), and he concentrates much better through the day without having had any tv, then he can just have it for an hour or so after school when he's tired. None of the children ask for it in the morning, because they know it's an afternoon/evening thing in our house.

Yes - DS is never hungry when he first wakes up - takes about half an hour for him to want breakfast. So TV goes on and he watches for a while while I shower (sometimes he plays on computer). Then TV goes off at 7.55 whihc gives us time for breakfast, teeth-cleaning, washing dressing etc. Out the door at 8.20.

our routine is pretty much like BudaBabe's

No. We are all so disorganised that every inch of our attention needs to be on getting ready or we leave late and half dressed.
