Good, convincing plot, hunky chief inspector and good setting. Enjoyed the Flemish which isn't unlike Danish...

There was a huge scandal in Belguim some years ago involving lots of government figures, judges etc in a huge paedophile ring am wondering if that's where this is going. Good stuff,but no Saga.

Found this confusing to start with then gripping. Do not find Paul attractive but so what. After how the Bridge ended think the ending to Salamander may not preclude another series: after all there is a new young chief of police .... you wait and see.

Next week it's some Italian thing set in 1938 - my fave decade, just think of the sets and clothes!

I imagine that when you are accepted into Salamander you are told 'Now go and find some really incriminating photos and put them in this bank vault'.

Not The Bridge but entertaining enough. Rather liked the monks. What happened to de Wulf? And have to hope Mr Slimy Hair got his come-uppance.

I preferred it to The Bridge - there were too many loose ends in that, for me.

I would think de wulf died from his gunshot wound.

I did enjoy it but was a bit disappointed by the ending tbh.

just saw a preview of Mannon(?) on more4 on friday. might be interesting.

Glad they were all going to get their come - uppance at the end but thought the last 15 minutes felt very rushed. Paul wasn't in the least bit attractive but no problem for me. generally liked it and would give another Belgian series a go.
