I think this series is the best yet.

I wonder if Will and Diane are now going to try and stop Peter being sworn in by accusing him of using his public office for private gain? (i.e getting Chumba contract for Alicia)

Agree, it's gripping. Fab!

I don't think Will and Diane can do anything about Chumhum because there was no deal with Peter, just a few words in one of his tv appearances. Chumhum hadn't entered into any agreement that we saw with LG.

Last nights episode was brilliant!

Oh I love it so much but last night was a bit much for me. It was too far fetched and I didn't like Will's aggression. I was totally gripped though... Bring on next Thurs!

Bumpotato - yes, I'm sure you're right. I'm just getting over excited and writing my own storylines

Oh I loved Will's aggression Ifyoubuildit...phwoarr !

Last night episode was really good but I want Alicia to be successful on her own merit and not because of Peters intervention.
In the first series Alicia left Peter because of his cheating and became a strong independent woman in her own right.
I did like the bit last night when Will and Alicia were arguing and he then told her that her daughter had rung.

I'm finally joining this thread to say that I thought last night's episode was the best of this season so far. And disturbingly, the first time I've fancied will! I'm not really sure what that says about me tbh.

I hated peter's speech and I hope Alicia is not happy with it. She doesn't need his help!

Whoop whoop. That was more like it. But I can't help but think that Other Cary is going to be like the Star Trek away mission guy without a name that always gets bumped off.

And Peter is mean

Kalinda is hardly in it this series which I can't say bothers me greatly. Would like more Eli though

Kalinda and Will, used to like them but after last night not anymore. Kalinda is saving her own hide but to screw over your friends for money, really!

Will, what a piece of work, Alicia was right to make decision to leave after the way he treated Diane. He is so aggressive, the way he shoved her things off the desk and then told her to be careful?!

Like the fact that Peter and Alicia are back and it seems real.

I don't think this series is as far fetched as other programmes as the American legal system/ industry is extremely different from the British and that's whats interesting about it.

Also think Diane will stay at Lockhart Gardner now that judgeship is no more!

More trouble for Alicia and Carey...

Ooh, wasn't last night great! I totally agree that this series is great so far, much better than the last 2. Just intrigued to see where it goes... it feels like a last series.

Peter has an eye for the ladies. I remember the actress who plays Alicia in ER. She got George Clooney in the end. Does anyone remember that show where she rushed off to meet him after being seperated for a number of years (by this time George was a major A lister) and you saw someone at the end of the dock and although the papers had said not to miss this epioside you couldnt quite believe it was George!

BOFtastic · 28/02/2014 12:32

Oh yes Grin. I love the vintage ER years.

I was rooting for Alicia, principally because Will has got that odious toad of a partner who got their offices shut down.

Is there any way of getting the series in advance of it being shown on More4?

Kalinda is a really strange one. Whose side is she on. She also has a very strange personal life. Wasnt it her that attacked someone with a baseball bat? I find her creepy and wasnt she the one who Peter was found in bed with at the beginning.

Chris Noth is very well cast though. Really like him and slippery Eli

Agree, actually find Kalinda the least convincing character by far. Her skirts, her faux sassiness & attitude, weird & unconvincing plotlines around her.

Report
BumPotato · 28/02/2014 13:01

Why 2 Carys though? Will this become relevant later? It's like when there were two Jackies in Brookie.

Though in real life we often know several people with the same name.

I love Eli too. His facial expressions are priceless.

It feels like they don't quite know what to do with Kalinda.
All that stuff with her ex husband in the last series was tedious.

Her friendship with Alicia and the betrayal when Alicia discovered Kalinda had shagged Peter was good but that's dealt with now.

Report
dancemom · 28/02/2014 16:57

I remember reading that the Kalinda storyline with her ex was supposed to grow into a bigger plot but the feedback the writers got was it wasn't believable or enjoyable so it was quickly ended!

I can't help feeling that I was on Will's side! Bit worrying as everyone else is not!

Italian and chicken that's what I was trying to say last night. I'm sure it is a fairly accurate reflection of how murky and interlinked politics and law can be in the States. I've always loved how strong and independent Alicia is and that is spoiled by Peters interference. Wonder how she'll react to the judgeship being taken from Diane?
