Sky can't answer this apparently, but I bet Mumsnetters can!

Universal
SyFy
Discovery
Animal Planet

Are these, or are they not, available on a Sky Go Monthly Ticket? I have paid for a month to see what we're missing, on the strength of the advertised channels, only to find that these channels and possibly others don't work, either live or on catch up. I have trawled the web and found the odd suggestion that Sky may not actually have the rights to offer these to monthly ticket holders, but Sky themselves appear unable to answer the many questions on their own help forums.

Anyone come across this and got an answer? Thanks!

523 Animal planet, 520 discovery, no idea what number Syfy and universal are, I see that we get them when I click by. They should be available to you, it is to me and we are on the second most basic package. Did they give you any paperwork? You should have some sort of contract with sky?

Which packages do you have, Gaelic?

Zombie has Entertainment Extra and she gets all of those channels.

Hi. This isn't a contract with a Sky dish, it's a Sky Go Monthly Ticket which you can get through your laptop, tablet or Xbox. They advertise all these channels as available on Sky Go, but these particular ones say only available to Sky TV subscribers when you try and view them. Sky will not admit this however.

It cost £32 for one month, so they bloody well should provide what they advertise!

We've got Sky go but through the sky dish and have the channels you mention but only when I upgraded from the bardic package, you would maybe be better looking into NOW TV, I think that's pay monthly, it's linked to sky but I don't think it's as expensive as your paying just now.

This does include movies. It works out marginally cheaper than the equivalent Sky package. I'm not that bothered, certainly not enough to bother about another Set top box or anything. If we decide it isn't worth it we just won't buy another month. I'm just bothered that Sky doesn't get away with false advertising to non-Sky TV customers!
