She seems to be pg again in this new series of Property Ladder but for the closign "to camera" piece last night she must have been breast-feeding!!!
(sorry, but I can only have this "did you see" chat on MN!)

sorry to digress, but did the other couple (the ones with the hideous violet curtain) really irritate anyone else. can't put my finger on it but for some reason i wanted to slap them both.

themoon66 · 20/07/2006 10:40

Ooh annoying people. I was hoping the estate agents would come in at the end and declare their house to be a mess 'not worth much coz everything looks second hand'.. or similar sort of comment.

themoon66 · 20/07/2006 10:41

I also thought they were greedy and were over-pricing that house.

NomDePlume · 20/07/2006 10:42

I wanted to slap them because they were banging on about style not having to cost the earth (literally) and yet they weren't adding anything chic initially, just a load of old crap and rags they'd hoarded (or an 'eclectic collection' as Beeny tactfully put it). Yet despite their oh so wonderful tree hugging pretentions, they were blantantly mercenary (£250k ffs ?!)

NomDePlume · 20/07/2006 10:43

snap, moony

Tutter · 20/07/2006 10:43

they were so po-faced. loked like they found humour in nothing. why could they not admit they were utterly clueless about design? the place looked a bit student-bedsitty imo - thought sarah let them off lightly. noted that no-one had bought their flat at the end

ameli · 20/07/2006 10:43

yes i saw it, befor i did not even know who you were all on about, but after seeing her...wow they are huuuge!she needs to get her self a decent bra..i mean they were almost dragging on the ground. As for that smug women with her posh house, yes it was nice and eco friendly.. but i was so happy when sarah put her in her place...humiliation that she actually made a loss after investing 5 years into that!

hotmama · 20/07/2006 10:44

Don't they usuallysay over the credits at the end of the programme that such and such house sold for £X etc. Therefore, can we assume that neither house had sold?

NomDePlume · 20/07/2006 10:46

The Surbiton flat (the minging lilac curtain house) was in the ugliest building I've seen in a long time. They may have had a better chance of getting closer to their £250k if they'd have bought in a beautiful Victorian conversion or similar.

expatinscotland · 20/07/2006 10:47

'I also thought they were greedy and were over-pricing that house. '

Aren't they all, though? I don't think I've seen a one who hasn't been. But then again, there are some moronic suckers out there w/lots of money.

NomDePlume · 20/07/2006 10:50

It makes me lol that when they go over budget, because they were woefully shite with their original estimations of what the work would actually cost them, they immediately justify it by adding the overspend to their projected value of the finished house... Gotta love that optimism...
