SCD 2013 #6: The semi-finals are here!

Following on from the last thread.

I'm looking forward to seeing two dances from everybody.The music choices don't look bad either relatively speaking.

Bizarrely there's only one couple (Patrick and Anya) who have two of the usual ten dances, the others all have AT/AS/salsa. Natalie and Artem don't have a ten dance at all.

ramps is the 2006 SCD winner who partnered Karen Hardy. He was a cricketer and the best male dancer who had no previous dance training.

Hello all, missed you last night as I'm in that there London for the weekend. Missed the show last night as we went to see Jersey Boys (amazing by the way!), so will catch up later this afternoon.

BTW, the show dance lady, Hanna Karttunen, is an original Strictly Pro: she danced with Chris Parker in a Series One.

Lucy - the judges don't choose the winner, it's all public vote in the final.

sophie's paso, the first dance, was amazing, like ballet, but at one point their faces just looked cross. Grin

Lucy - if she gets to the final, then it could be Susanna. The best technical dancer doesn't necessarily win. (See Chris Hollins)

I really like Natalie's AT last night,first time there's been any chemistry between her and Artem I thought. She looked like she was going to kiss him (who'd blame her). The gurning in the salsa was annoying though, glad Craig said something about it.
I voted for abbey and Sophie.
I think it's going to be Patrick in the do against Sophie. Patrick will go. Would rather it was Susanna, think she peaked a few weeks ago.

Yes, Susanna has gone off the boil the last few weeks. Really, she should have at least have been in a dance off by now. She's not nearly as good as the other 3 women. Possibly even with Patrick, but neither is as good as Natalie, Sophie and Abbey last night and last week.

Hello folks you lot move fast in a week Xmas Grin . Agree with wessex about most things I reckon the music improved a lot last night. sophie was undermarked (if I voted I would've voted for her Blush) Natalie is too much like a pro to win IMO she was bleedin' good. Patrick lost it maybe not his dances? But a woman MUST win this series and It's almost anywoman's!! (not sus's though). WTF had they done to her hair?

I like Tess with red lipstick not sure about the dress, Bruce must go gracefully pleeeese.

I agree Susanna was uninspiring, the salsa was awful( still lovin' Kevin though).
Patrick is below the level for a final I feel. So Abbey, Sophie and Natalie in that order, for me

I want to see Sophie and Patrick in the dance off tonight.

I know that Sophie is popular on here, but everything (bar her Charleston) that has had me enjoying her performances is all about Brendan. I think Brendan has been awesome this year, but I just feel like she's dragged around the place like a soulless dummy (ironically, given her dance last week) and I actually quite like SEB, I just feel she doesn't have much presence.

Have really surprised myself by wanting Abbey to wine, but I do.

As Craig said, Sophie is fine in hold but not so on her own. Apart from her amazing Charleston.
