Patrick couldn't dance like that if he wasn't bothered! He's just a cool guy and doesn't do the gushy thing which is fair enough.

I can't warm to Susanna at all - don't dislike her, but she's almost too confident and 'show-offy' when performing. Think she's very popular with the public.

Ashley seemed very upset and nearly in tears. Mark expected it and he did do a proper double knee bend but the bounce was too clodhoppy, bless him.

Aw bless Mark. Two standing ovations and he was spared the swingathon, which I think would actually have crippled him. Did you notice that Claudia made a special point of coming to hug him farewell - I'm sure she doesn't do that for most people.

And no Bruce next week. Hurrah!

I really do hope they don't "get a man in" when Bruce retires. Claudia does the backstage job brilliantly, I can't think of anyone who could do it better, and although I can't say the same for Tess front of house it wouldn't be fair to sack her.
