but what is the point of a secret house? how are those housemates going to affect/interact with these housemates?

Prepare yourself for the most exciting news you'll hear all summer, and it doesn't involve Wayne Rooney...

Now, bear with us. There's a lot to take in... but we have exciting news.

One week from now, Big Brother will open the doors to a brand new secret House hidden right next door to the main House. And in that secret House will live five brand new housemates... plus one of the existing housemates. Confused? Let us explain.

This Monday nominations will proceed as normal, or so the housemates think. Because instead of voting someone out, viewers will vote to 'move' one of the nominees into the secret House next door.

On Friday's live show the 'evicted' housemate will get a massive shock when they discover they are not really being shown the door, but led through a new one.

And the surprises won't end there... the housemate will then be joined by five brand-new housemates. They'll enter the House one by one, just like the original housemates did on launch night and will share the 'House next door', hidden away from the eight housemates in the main House.

And the surprises don't end there either... because the five new housemates will also be shocked to learn they aren't entering the normal House, but a new secret one. Basically, everyone will be really surprised.

The self-contained 'House next door' will look completely different to the main Big Brother House. It has a living area, dining area, shower room, garden and bedroom. The one connecting room is the Diary Room, which the six housemates will share with the original eight House-dwellers. But they'll be blissfully unaware... for now.

If the houses are only connected through the diary room then how will they fake the 'eviction'? The housemates are used to seeing the evictee exit up the stairs, not via the diary room. They'll smell a rat.

But would Pete be so attractive if we all knew he had a tiny willy not a big ol snake!

and if we can only vote from nominated housemates then it's extremely unlikely to be Pete. Probably Imogen and Aisleen (or maybe poor Nikki).

ugh the idea of a 'big old snake' turns my stomach.

the thing is that who ever it is says in the house so we wont get rid of the bunny boiler Lea we will still have to watch her on telly

I know, the realisation that she is going to be there for at least another 2 weeks was distressing.

o god the thought of Dimogen going next door - wot a complete waste of time. wot if there's only 3 housemates to choose from, from the ones who are nominated? - worst case scenario: lea, dim and dick. i spose dick is the best bet as he will be thrilled at meeting new people, also it will be a treat to see everyone's face when he shows up again after having NOT been eveicted. (reminiscent of when jason's face a few years ago when michelle and emma popped up after being in the bedsit - and that night ended with the police being called!)

thats gonig to be utterly weird for new housemates thinking they are the main 'big brother' housemates and then discovering its been on for weeks

I think i would like to see lea go into the other house.... taking her away from pete would tourture her lol esp as she knows that the others will make a move on him.... hopefully they'll make her watch

Apparently (on Channel 4 web page which I can't access now) Imogen has been at it again saying 'since I nominated Lea we get on great' - don't know what BB is going to do about it though
