Salamander · 20/06/2006 13:17

Who will it be then?????????????????

Enid - I've been thinking that for a while. It's really lowered my opinion of him.
If he likes all her attention he's rubbish.
If he doesn't like it he's rubbish for not getting out of her way/ chest.

lol a@ your at disagreeing with me, Tinks. Maybe you hear too many manchester accents to find them endearing? I broadly agree with the digispy post Jools posted, actually.
i've been finding Imogen much nicer and less dull over the past few days. I quite like her chilled approach plus her laughter at Nikki's dramatics. think she or Lisa will go but it should be Mikey in just desert terms, imo.

Scummymummy - I agree with you re. Imogen. I think it's really cruel people saying she is dim. I think she is spot on about Richard

What is a bar hostess?

ProfYaffle · 23/06/2006 14:39

Agree with Cupcakes and Enid, Pete needs to grow a pair. He totally wimped out when Grace and Nikki were taking the p*ss out of Susie and even ended up apologising to them

Salamander · 23/06/2006 14:41

"Pete needs to grow a pair"

Hmmm....

I wonder how a Tourettes-suffering child of a single parent might do that... ?

Come on - Toughen Up Pete - Deal With Conflict!!!

Errr, yes Salamander. Having tourettes doesn't mean he can't tell Lea to bog off.

bubblez · 23/06/2006 14:57

Lisa to go..... Can't stand her!!

Salamander · 23/06/2006 14:57

I agree Professor - I just think we've seen fairly clearly that Pete has trouble dealing with conflict.

his way of doing it is diffusive - curling into himself, looking down and saying "oh alright sorry"

he seems to have tried telling Lisa/Lea etc how he feels and either get continuous inquisition or evils...

imaginaryfriend · 23/06/2006 14:59

I feel very sorry for Pete. I think he's quite emotionally vulnerable, inexperienced at any rate. Being a young man with an already complicated set of problems and a tricky background to find yourself confronted with somebody like Lea would be daunting to say the least.

Salamander · 23/06/2006 15:32

I'd be scared of Lea

imaginaryfriend · 23/06/2006 15:33

I AM scared of Lea

Moomin · 23/06/2006 15:36

Would you really tell a fellow poster who suffers from low self-esteem and/or who has been systematically bullied for years to do the same as you're telling pete to do! it's nice to imagine this is a soap opera and we can write the scripts for these people but, by and large(!), they are real.

the trouble with pete is that i think he genuinely doesn't see BB as a stage for his talents (or if we're talking about the others, their lack of talents); it's an opportunity to experience something unique and he's trying to cope with a situation (as in Lea/Nikki fighting over him) that, outside of the house, he'd be able to deal with by retreating and avoiding these people. He can't do that so he's trying to find a way round it that doesn't create conflict as he obviously finds it very hard.

i think he's one of the most genuine and likeable housemates they've ever had - and to have found him amongst all the tv wanna-bees and jumped-up no-ones has been like striking gold [all in MY OWN HUMBLE OPINION naturellement!]

Salamander · 23/06/2006 15:36

LOL Imaginary!

OP posts:
puddle · 23/06/2006 15:49

Moomin I wouldn't tell a poster on here suffering from those issues to go on BB either.

I think Pete is on there to change people's views re: disabilities like the one he has. And I think he has done that to some extent. But don't forget he is also a performer - of course he's there to improve his prospects once he gets out, like they all are.

Salamander · 23/06/2006 15:54

Wasn't there something to do with Pete's mother?
The reason he's on there??

OP posts:
puddle · 23/06/2006 15:59

Pete
Why Big Brother? "To reach the top of my spiral to heaven and shine again. Also, if I was to win the money I would like to pay off my mum?s mortgage so she can finally live her life because she looked after me for so long. And I crave fame and would like to be a famous Touretter."
