Just about to start on ITV.

BoozyBear Jason and Felix are played by different actors[Radio Times].

Sleepyfergus · 08/09/2013 18:56

Just watched this!

I was confused by Jason/Felix but looked again and they are defo diff people.

That Theresa seems to be a bit of a tease, half the neighbour men seem hung up on her! I felt quite sorry for her husband/ partner (although prob more to it, maybe he's not nice) But the insinuation was that Daniel is already having an affair with her. However, was it present day when his mobile rang an her name popped up?

Anyway, I enjoyed it despite crying my eyes out for about half of it!! My dd1 is about to turn 4 and it hit a nerve. Esp that bit where he dragged a chair across the kitchen and climbed up to get a biscuit....sob!

Llareggub · 08/09/2013 18:56

There's a few clues to suggest that the mother drinks a lot, so I am guessing she's guilty about that.

Sleepyfergus · 08/09/2013 19:04

Oh, and where I use to live (on a 'development' - looked a bit like Brookside for those old enough to remember!), they used to have an annual BBQ on the grassy bit in the middle. Not posh like the one here, no electric lanterns strung between the trees. More a bring your own chair, 4 pack and bangers sort of affair.

We never went Wink

Sparklysilversequins · 09/09/2013 14:29

Only managed first ten minutes. The autism plot line took me back to when ds was diagnosed and how totally clueless I was. Will try watching when dc are in bed.

Littlemissexpecting · 12/09/2013 21:17

Nannynick you could be right with your theory

girliefriend · 12/09/2013 21:51

Still don't think it was the father but looks like he was having an affair with that blonde bird, agree with them all being 'guilty' of something.

Cindy34 · 12/09/2013 23:04

Luke was involved in whatever happened I suspect. Maybe he caused it, or witnessed it.

Darkesteyes · 12/09/2013 23:14

Ive been watching this but i KNEW i could remember another drama that had the same title
I was right I remember watching this in 1992

www.imdb.com/title/tt0107058/

diddl · 13/09/2013 15:28

Who was the guy at the end who confessed?

So now they're not sure when he went missing?

And no one heard anything as the father was with the blonde woman, the mother was drunk & the nanny shagging Jason?

Was there significance in the father telling Luke that it was an accident? Seems to suggest that they both know more about at least some of it.

MisguidedAngel · 14/09/2013 12:41

I missed the last few minutes - bloody Humax - do we know who the guy in the car park is, the one who tried to jump the detective?

I like your theory nennypops

eddiemairswife · 14/09/2013 15:17

Luke was only about 7 at the time, so if he was involved he would have needed help to move the body. The missing blue blanket seems to point to someone in the household. I wonder if it went missing at the time of the disappearance or later. As the body was found buried in the communal garden it seems unlikely that no-one noticed anything. I hope all the loose end get tied up and we get a proper ending.

BornOfFrustration · 19/09/2013 22:34

Well, I didn't see that coming

NotQuitePerfect · 19/09/2013 22:54

I know Born. Bit of a let-down, tbh Hmm

Ruprekt · 19/09/2013 22:57

Meh......how could he do that to his wife.....just awful.....Confused

Cindy34 · 19/09/2013 23:11

Little unexpected. So did Luke witness it?

Snazzyenjoyingsummer · 19/09/2013 23:23

I think that final explanation was there as an 'unexpected' extra twist but wasn't actually very satisfying.

The neighbour's boy who came back for his mum's wedding - what was he supposed to have shown Luke?

And the neighbour (mum) remembers going to her front door, mentioning something about the blue blanket (saying it suggests the boy was taken? Can't quite remember) and thinking Rose overheard that before she told him to get lost. Yet the police hadn't previously known about it or asked parents in original enquiry? It seemed like completely new evidence in the second investigation when it was dug up. That bit didnn't add up at all for me.

Was neighbour involved in some way? Was she looking out at detective from her house at the very end when detective had just got into her car. What was that supposed to suggest - her involvement?

eddiemairswife · 20/09/2013 12:57

Bit confused. The father buried Callum on the land his company owned. He subsequently moved the body (why?) to the communal garden. Why did no-one notice the disturbed ground where it was re-buried, and when did he do it? It must have been at night-time and taken some time, so why didn't his wife notice his absence?

clangermum · 20/09/2013 13:22

Thanks Boozy. I'd missed the bit about asphyxiation game. I'd assumed from the judo belt round his neck that Luke had strangled Callum because of the bath flashbacks, but that would account for Luke having nightmares himself about not being able to breathe.

Think the dad moved the body because it was due to be flooded.

clangermum · 20/09/2013 13:26

Dad must have thought Luke was implicated, otherwise why cover it up. But did he think Luke was responsible, when in fact Callum had died from trying the game on his own? Or did he think it was a game they were playing together, and thought Luke would be blamed by his wife for being the eldest (and not her own son)?
