Ledodgyherring · 19/05/2006 19:15

Norah that's what my dp saw perhaps he's telling the truth after all!

mummy2jake · 19/05/2006 19:17

think its david as the last episode the card that was left in the house audrey said the blood on card could of come from a paper cut then later david mentions hes got a paper cut and gail looks shocked

7up · 19/05/2006 19:19

oh yea forgot about the cut finger, well done mummy2jakeGrin

Crystaltips · 19/05/2006 19:26

personally think that the paper cut is a red herring !

tamum · 19/05/2006 19:27

Hmm. It was a bit obvious I suppose.

mummy2jake · 19/05/2006 19:33

never thought of that

Rowlers · 19/05/2006 19:38

I reckon it's Bethany

Babyannabell · 19/05/2006 19:53

Sorry - what did Gail find in David's room? I really should pay more attention!

Babyannabell · 19/05/2006 19:59

Ah - a card.

tamum · 19/05/2006 20:04

Rowlers, or maybe one of Dev's twins?

softmusk · 19/05/2006 20:57

i thought we where going to find out tonite

ssd · 19/05/2006 21:26

I missed the second episode tonight, please someone fill me in!
Did David send Gail a card supposedly for Richards birthday then?

ssd · 19/05/2006 21:38

please someone put me out my misery!

JonesTheSteam · 19/05/2006 21:41

Nothing arrived in the post. David came home from school and the police arrived at the same time to tell Gail that Phil wasn't in Scotland but was still working somewhere in the North of England, so Gail now thinks it might be him again.

Racers · 19/05/2006 21:44

no card was recieved and it's past the date of richard's birthday (though why would he send a card to her in that case? anyway...) apparently it got posted to the wrong house (Keith's), so it will turn up. I still think it is David.

ssd · 20/05/2006 08:39

if it's not David who could it be?

NatalieJane · 20/05/2006 08:45

Have heard a few different stories, David was the last I read but have also read that the body Gail identified wasn't Richards, but a homeless guy and because he had been in the water (for all of five minutes if my memory serves me right) he wasn't easily identifiable, and so the sender would be Richard, another story was that Richards 'long lost' son was behind it all.

It could be anyone really.

2mum · 20/05/2006 08:49

Sure it showed you a close up of Hillman in the body bag after he had been pulled out of the river and Gail identified him if i remember right.

saadia · 20/05/2006 09:04

If I have followed things correctly Gail lied to David that Richard's birthday was coming up - to set him up - and the card duly arrived.

David thinks that Phil know's about Richard's supposed birthday and is pinning it on him but Gail knows that Phil knows nothing about all this so now Gail knows that it's David sending the cards.

He is very very angry with her I think because if I remember correctly when Phil was interviewing them for his thesis about Hillman David said he was angry that his mother had brought such a psycho into their lives.

In my opinions there are too many loons in the prog now and they are relying too much on disturbed characters for their storylines.

ssd · 20/05/2006 09:10

agree saadia, I love Corny but all the intrigue concerning Gail is too far fetched.

Moomin · 20/05/2006 10:12

have read that it's david and far from being far-fetched i think it's actually understandable and logical! (bear with me)

so often on soaps terrible things happen and the victims are traumatised for oooo about 5 mins then they're all having a nice cuppa tea and a knees up in the vic.... frankly, if what has happened to david didn't affect him adversely it would be unrealistic: the whole Hillman trauma; the continued 'rejection' of david by his dad (first katie, now robyn, moving away and new baby), the inability of his mum to provide a stable environment and the appearance of Phil.... who wouldn't want to lash out in a psycho-styley after all that?!!

tamum · 20/05/2006 10:20

I agree Moomin. Saadia, I understand about Gail setting him up, but I thought the card hadn't arrived yet? I thought that was going to happen in the next episode or two- last thing I saw was David going out, and Gail thinking he was going to buy the card. Unless we're behind in Scotland :)

Moomin · 20/05/2006 11:56

no it hasn't been shown yet. on last night's 2nd episode which was Friday in corrie land (the 1st being Weds because of the football!) the post came but no card was there. that might be where keith comes in if he gets the card by accident. so that'll be shown on sunday if it's going to happen.
