yes, couldnt get rid off syed or perm woman because it would be too boring then.

loved when Syed was trying to convince the team that the name "The A- team" was the best choice for them, was laughing my head off- as was dp.

We are engrossed in the first series of '24' instead. We're up to about 5pm, it's great! I also love 6 Feet Under, got into it about 4 years ago. I think I've seen about 3 series, I'm definitely behind though, it hasn't been on Ch4 for ages. That's something worth having on dvd, totally!

tiredemma · 23/02/2006 10:12

only just realised MT that the armstrongs are REAL!!!

NotQuiteCockney · 23/02/2006 10:15

We got series 2 from a colleague of DH's. I'm not convinced it's entirely, um, legal. I'm sure you can get it from Pirate Bay or similar.

I dunno about whether Series 2 is worth it yet, we're only 4 eps in. It's certainly ... compelling? Let's put it this way, so far, they're not answering any of the questions, but they are giving you new ones ...

puddle · 23/02/2006 10:15

I love Alan sugar's henchmen - Margaret and Nick. They make me think he's not such a bad person.

Was watching the fnal boardroom scene thu fingers last night. Sayeed - what a nightmare. Like Paul from last time. Thought the right one was sacked though.

Love the name Paul Tulip too.

NotQuiteCockney · 23/02/2006 10:16

Oh, and as a Canadian, I'm from a country where downloading content is just not illegal, so I'm sticking to that as my defence.

salsa · 23/02/2006 10:16

Is susan played by teri hatcher? Never seen desperate housewives. After spending 4 days with her I wouldn't want it because she is a miserable wotsit.

TheDullWitch · 23/02/2006 10:21

Only Lynnette worth watching - her plot line is still (tenuously) linked to reality. Others are just broad comedy and yeah-like-that-would-happen fantasy.

The Apprentice RULES - Perm Woman is a certifiable bunny boiler. And she is a head of human resources which is scary thought.

I didn t think that nice posh boy shoudl have been fired just because everyone else turned on him to save their own asses.

TheDullWitch · 23/02/2006 10:22

Salsa - dish about why and when you spent time with Terri Hatcher. Or at least tell us what she ate - if anything.

smellymelly · 23/02/2006 10:23

Thanks NQC - we had better wait I suppose.... it is a little annoying though with the bloody open endings all the time.

NotQuiteCockney · 23/02/2006 10:23

You're right, the other three have descended into comedy/soap-opera territory.

Hmm, maybe this will be enough to put me off DespH, which is great, less telly is always an improvement ...

expatinscotland · 23/02/2006 10:23

susan needs to get a job.

NotQuiteCockney · 23/02/2006 10:23

smellymelly - the open endings just keep on coming, let's put it that way.

fairyfly · 23/02/2006 10:24

Not if you only started watching it last week

bossykate · 23/02/2006 10:24

ooh, salsa, you know teri hatcher?

Eowyn · 23/02/2006 10:24

agree re desperate housewives, I thought it seemed less interesting cos I'd got so absorbed in Lost but it is getting a bit farcical & predictable & why on earth would Bree be having anything to do with such a creepy guy???

puddle · 23/02/2006 10:26

dullwitch - I think Sir Alan always has it in for the posh boys. But he was out of his depth I thought - got really flustered in the Board room and wasn't assertive enough.

Mad perm woman nearly lost it too didn't she - WAY too over emotional for Sir A.

Feistybird · 23/02/2006 10:29

re: apprentice, agree as team leader, posh boy had to go (but blimey it was like gang warfare in there!). That snotty-nosed arrogant little twit Syed must go next.

Perm woman absolutely wired to the moon - can't wait till she's elected Team leader...

Piffle · 23/02/2006 10:36

same but love Lynette her character is the only reason I watch, I do love Bree but not so much without Rex...
Susan is disposable deffo

TheDullWitch · 23/02/2006 10:43

I must say agree with Sir A about the girls winning cos they got their tits oot in the market. Felt a bit ashamed of our sex, when they were begging for freebies and kissing old fellas for bruised mangos. Flashing your knocks is not a sustainable business model.

puddle · 23/02/2006 10:46

Well...I kind of agree with you dullwitch but I think they just saw an opportunity and went for it. The boys would have done the same if they'd been offered free stuff. I wasn't that impressed by Paul flogging apples for £2.50 either - especially in Hackney.

TheDullWitch · 23/02/2006 10:48

I know, I didn t like him at all. Total amoral shyster. But those girls got idiot blokes to pay £20 for a tray of fruit worth about a fiver.

I don t think any of them are very nice people. But I suppose that is the point.

Frenchgirl · 23/02/2006 11:12

I was about to start a thread on being bored by Desperate Housewives....
Loved the first series but this one is going nowhere
Only watching now to annoy dh who thinks it's rubbish

On the other hand, 5th series of 24 is great!!!
