I honestly thought that Charlie was a girl. My eldest isn't in to it and therefor its not watched in our house, but this morning it was on.
I know, that Charlie is spelt the boys way, but his hair his all girly! Get him a haircut!

Yes, I know this thread is very sad. And yes, I do have more to do than post threads about kiddies t.v, but hey! Its much easier to sit here and do this rather than housework!

I thought he was Soren Lorensen because Lauren Child has a son called Lauren hence "Soren, Lauren's Son". But having Googled C & L for merchandise (no luck) it turns out that Soren is the guy who wrote the fab music.

Cupcakes - a few of the books aren't actually written by LC - they're based on the cartoon scripts written by 2 other people and authorised by LC as far as I can see. Ds won't notice the difference but it's not quite as witty as the original books IMO. The one about the dog is one of the new ones.

Charlie and Lola is the programme all the Freshers will be talking about in the union bar in 15 years time

Have just beetled up to dd's room to get her 2 C+L books. And yes, 'text based on script written by Bridget Hurst and Carol Noble'. What a con.
They are just like the tv episodes - but I thought that they had been taken from original LC books.
Am going to have to look for some original books now. Recommendations please. Tomato?

Tomato is great and "I am absolutely too small for school" is a favourite. "I am not sleepy and I will not go to bed" is an original too but we haven't read that one yet.

We bought a load of C&L books as toilet training bribery (getting v desperate after a year of trying!)

We're going to construct a C&L pink milk chart and pinch some of the artwork off the Cbeebies site - in a good cause you understand. Ds will earn a pink milk sticker for every success and eventually earn a book. The ultimate prize will be the DVD - I hope he gets there soon because I'm desperate to watch it!

Maybe I like it more than ds...

I thought Charlie was a girl too! Only found out a couple of weeks ago when someone on cbeebies said 'Lola's brother!'

Is that 'I'm too small for school book' C&L? I didn't figure as they haven't made it hugely blatant...

Something about it bugs me, but I can't put my finger on it.
