Anyone else seen it? Topping up my Scandi obsession until the next series of the Killing and Borgan.

Good isn't it - I miss Wallander

Onlylurking · 24/04/2012 19:18

I never got into Wallander. I think it was because I saw the Kenneth Branaugh version. Just not the same without subtitles Grin

I watched it tonight. Very promising.

ImperialBlether · 26/04/2012 00:12

Oh OnlyLurking, you HAVE to watch the real Wallander. It's absolutely fantastic. Never mind the KB version or the other bloke (sorry - is he called Rolf or summat?) - you need to watch the Krister Henriksson version - just wonderful.

And yes, I've seen the first episode of The Bridge and it's looking great so far. Will be back on here tomorrow - I was looking for the thread!

Just watched The Bridge 1 & 2 on iplayer BBC4. Great! Looking forward to Saturday's episodes. Thought it was as good as first Killing episodes.

Like the Danish detective already and am warming to autistic Swedish detective. Think the paring up of the two will be a good one.

Like the direction - all looks a bit bleak up there. Grey and cold. Not good for the tourist trade but a great export for their film industry.

Is nobody else hooked?

HangingGarden · 27/04/2012 13:58

Haha doings,('..all looks a bit bleak up there. Grey and cold) but it was always dark in The Killing! What did that do for tourism?

Onlylurking · 30/04/2012 16:50

Apparently The Killing did wonders for Copenhagen tourism. Special Killing tours for Brits. They must think we are very odd.

God I had serious nightmares about this last night. I knew I shouldn't have watched it. Bloody horrible and so grey.

Seriously, I went to rescue my aspie friend from her abusive partner (in the nightmare of course) and she turned and tried to slit my throat, partner wouldn't take the knives away and the children were all standing there watching. And then she kept finding more knives, and had more hidden. And she was karate-chucking me about the living room.

I'm not watching that again.

daffodilly2 · 02/05/2012 09:04

I am watching on iplayer now and had to stop so scary. Ditto the grey. Thought something was wrong with my TV screen. Will wait until Dh is around for my fear! Is good but a bit too dark for my taste.

KurriKurri · 02/05/2012 11:57

I love it, I'm really getting into it now.

But can someone explain why Dead Goran's wife (forgotten her name) at chapel of rest place, suddenly whipped of her wig and then it was back in place next time we saw her?

(my theory is that she was wearing it because Goran liked blondes, but when she saw his girlfriend was brunette, she whipped it off in disgust. But why put it back on? I've probably totally missed the point - but it was a great scene, - a wig can say so much Grin)

daffodilly2 · 02/05/2012 16:01

Have watched it now. The young vulnerable girl is the one that gets me - just so spooky.

Wig - wears it for revenge - all manicured and coiffured, husband liked au naturel via Em.

Lots of isolated people seems to be theme. Who is the half body we see thru a penthouse/office window? TT?

Stefan - too obvious to be him - but is he linked?

so many sub-plots to fathom - dodgy cops? Did they annoy TT?

KurriKurri · 02/05/2012 17:13

I was a bit confused by the dodgy cops too, - not sure how they are going to fit in, - but I'm guessing they are going to be something to do with one of the injustices on TT's list.
