im having a bb break and watching et on itv

RTKangaMummy · 07/01/2006 18:07

MKM I said I am going to judge him on what happens in BB

I just think he could have been made a scapegoat and has prob been ill advised by lawyers etc.

I agree that it is terrible what happened that day but none of us know what that was only what we have been told by the papers etc and IMHO that is not usually the whole story

mykidsmum · 07/01/2006 18:17

Scapegoat or not, it was his house and he did remain silent, like i say i don't believe he is actually guilty just cannot believe that he didn't have enough consideration for this guys family to talk to the police. This alone prevents me from judging him solely on his appearance in BB, I feel his actions are so disrespectful to Stuart Lubbocks family who I'm sure have hurt alot more over this than mr Barrymore, who seems to want us to feel sorry for him.

Anyway jodie marsh to win.....only kidding!!

7777777 · 07/01/2006 20:03

im going to out of surgery dox with son, prob be up there all nite! i hope to see loadsa info on bb when i get back please.x

no messages!ive just cum bak and turned on to mb and pb chatting about the incident!thought he wasnt alowed to?

merryberry · 07/01/2006 21:52

i like the way each housemate is cornering another one and baring their souls, one by one. the one being bared to gets a rabbit in a headlight look.

hornbag · 07/01/2006 22:15

Just watched tonights offering on C4 and can't believe the amount of badly applied make-up I've seen.
WTF is Jodie Marsh thinking when she puts her lipstick and lipliner on??
And just how thick is Pete Burns foundation??

7777777 · 07/01/2006 22:32

very quite on here!? i misd the whole prog due to my darling sons!hows chantelle and dennis?

RTKangaMummy · 07/01/2006 22:38

have just seen chantelle singing her single

flutterbee · 07/01/2006 22:48

No more Chantelle and Dennis action on the C4 programme tonight, Good hands off him Bitch he's mine

Will someone please tell Jodie that lipstick should stop where your lips stop and not be plastered round like your entertaining at a kids birthday party.

I don't agree with wearing fur (especially not endangered monkey fur) but for gods sake how many of the PETA activists in there are wearing leather shoes or leather belts and I gurantee that at least some of the mountain of make up must have been tested on animals, suppose it makes good telly though.

Thought MB was brill tonight, I think he has said everything he needs to say on the matter and hope he does really well in the programme.
Mykidsmum - sorry if you don't agree with me but if he had really done anything seriously wrong he would have been arrested and charged many years ago and he wasn't. He was responsible for giving the young man (not a kid a man) the drugs he had in his system that probably had a big hand in his death and MB will have to live with that for the rest of his life, he is not a murderer and didn't sexually assault the man so why are you so outraged by him.

Kanga - if Dennis gets naked on the live streaming give me a shout, don't want to miss it whilst on here.

Caligula · 07/01/2006 22:53

I really don't understand the make up thing that's going on there. They had a close up of Jodie Marsh crying to Dennis and it became clear that underneath that pantomime dame make up, she's a really good looking woman. Why on earth is there this fashion among these tabloid-fodder women, like her and Jordan to make themselves look like transvestites? I really don't get it.

mykidsmum · 07/01/2006 22:57

Flutterbee, not enough evidence to charge springs to mind, like i say i don't think he is guilty of anythign more than his silence and yes this does outrage me. if someone died in my home at a party i was hosting I would do everything i could to assist police with their enquiries, he did not. I would also for my own peace of mind want to act in a more dignified manner towards this young mans family, he has not done this and i feel this is wrong. This is not just about giving someone drugs, this about a young man's untimely death in avery brutal way, on someones property who did NOTHING to assist the police in finding out what actually happened. can't believe anyone can see why I feel agrieved by this.

7777777 · 07/01/2006 22:57

did chantelle actually sing!?was she good, do you rekon shes still carrying it off then. im well gutted i misd it

flutterbee · 07/01/2006 23:04

mykidsmum - from what I understand MB has assisted the police and answered all there questions, he left the scene at the time and has said tonight on BB that he was drunk and on drugs so obviously panicked (I wasn't there and I presume neither where you so we will just have to believe that). The coroner recorded an open verdict on cause of death, he could have drowned but may have died before ending up in the pool and the drugs he was on could have killed him. I don't know how MB has treated the family if he has been disrespectful in anyway then that is wrong but you can nor hound a man for the rest of his life just because someone died at his house thats just plain stupid.

7777777 · 07/01/2006 23:08

i like mb, hes funny and i think being totally truthful and not playing to the cameras. im a bit worried that this thread is turning into a michael barrymore debate which is a shame. i wana know wot happend tonight cause i mised it!

mykidsmum · 07/01/2006 23:19

He also suffered horrific sexual injuries and the reason an openn verdict was released was because there was little evidence(submersion in water)to convict. I have no interest in hounding anyone, but he didn't NEED to put himself back out there and has done so because he craves attention. from what i gather he has a very comfortable lifestyle in new zealand which he has been enjoying and building a new career for himself. His coming back here has caused a great deal of pain for mr lubbocks family who lets face it have been through alot, however you see it.

mykidsmum · 07/01/2006 23:21

Am concerened that being funny makes everything okay, and actually he has been funny thoughout his career at the expense of his willing public, who quite happily let him ridicule them, thats not actually funny, just cheap IMHO

7777777 · 07/01/2006 23:22

hi mykidsmum, im not going to come on this thread anymore cause you are constantly going on about mb and its meant to be a thread about celebrity big brother, perhaps you start a new one titled "i hate michael barrymore and am very opinionated about too!"

mykidsmum · 07/01/2006 23:29

Jesus, over reaction but if thats the way you want to play it then fine. I am only responding to comments by others which as far as i know okay within the rules of mumsnet. If you look i have commented on other parts of BB as i am an avid viewer, but yes i do have a problem with Mb being there, clearly you do not which is fine but you don't need to run at any sign of someone disagreeeing with you on athread.

I don't think i hate anyone but am perfectly entitled to view my opinions as is anyone concerning any characters on BB, that is the point of the thread. so sorry i have caused you so much offence

flutterbee · 07/01/2006 23:34

7777777 (not sure how many 7's) please don't go stay talk BB with us not MB, BB.

Mykids - It sounds to me like you may actually know the family involved with this whole saga and if that is the case then obviously you will feel much more aggreaved than most people. If however you have no connection with the famaily then I suggest you are reading too many papers.
I respect your opinioms, mine are just different and we shall leave it there.

Now is Dennis naked yet

flutterbee · 07/01/2006 23:35

Wow there are 7 7's I should ahve guessed really

mykidsmum · 07/01/2006 23:39

No I don't know the family and it is very patronising to suggest my opinions are formed on reading alot of papers (which beleieve me with four kids i don't have time for). having an opinion on something relevant to a thread is not a crime, it IS a sensitive issue, and so it shoud be but clearly others want to hide away and say what alovely, fuuny guy he is, fine, no worries, but for god 's sake don't xpect me just to agree, after all this would be a bloody boring place if we all agreed with eachother.

mykidsmum · 07/01/2006 23:41

Big brother threads btw have been hijacked by less important things in the past!!! And lets face it you don't actually have to respond to my comments

RTKangaMummy · 07/01/2006 23:42

It feels like I've got a frog in my throatThe Singing Defective
Day 3, 18:20
sabato 07 gennaio

How do you explain a pop singer that can't sing? Chantelle has the perfect answer - it's called a sore throat.

Emerging from the Diary Room after a tortuous stint of singing practice, the Kandy Floss queen set about an exercise in damage limitation.

When Traci mentioned that she didn't feel well, the Essex girl quickly spotted an opening.

"Nor do I, I've got a sore throat!" she responded, seizing the opportunity and milking it for all it was worth.

"The singing has really made it worse," she continued. "And there are parts in the song that I don't sing. Normally another girl sings it but I have to sing both bits."

Well maybe you should see the quack"Wow, that will be a challenge!" replied Traci, unhelpfully.

"Won't it!" agreed Chantelle, the fear beginning to creep into her voice.

Earlier, Chantelle's singing lesson had left her wracked by self doubt.

"I can't believe you have done this to me," she told Big Brother. "It's obvious they are not going to believe me. I can't sing at all."'

She continued to convey her impossible task to Traci: "There's a bit where two people are singing at the same time. I can't do it!"

But sympathy was not forthcoming, the Baywatch babe concluding: "It's sure going to be interesting."

Won't it just, eh Chantelle..?

The pretend pop princess struts her stuffShow Stoppers
Day 3, 20:45
Saturday 07 January

It's the song they've all been talking about and the House has finally been treated to an exclusive performance.

Chantelle gave a stuttering, if heartfelt, rendition of Kandy Floss's biggest hit, I Want It Right Now, in tonight's task.

The catchy ditty, penned by Big Brother, received its debut at the hands of the Essex model, who displayed a limited vocal range and some rather suspect dance moves.

Not surprisingly, her audience didn't quite know what to make of it all.

Housemates who were clapping along at the start soon sat motionless, throwing embarrassed, puzzled glances at each other.

Jodie looked decidedly unimpressed, while Dennis began to chuckle.

But Chantelle made it through to the end. And she even managed to remember most of the words (the lyrics in her hand helped).

When the final note was played the group gave her a big ovation, whether out of admiration or pity, it was difficult to judge.

Who this is supposed to be is anyone's guess"That was really great," said Traci.

"Very good Chantelle, I'll buy it," added George.

The singer herself seemed genuinely invigorated: "You just get a huge adrenaline rush," she exclaimed.

Preston, who had questioned Chantelle's cover story the previous night, just gave a knowing smirk.

Elsewhere in the task, Faria fell short of speaking for 90 seconds about "why she was famous", while Jodie began her speech with: "The reason I'm famous is because I'm a little bit mental..."

George gave a rousing political speech, Traci pranced around in a red bikini and Dennis slam-dunked some baskets in the garden. Surprisingly Pete also took to the stage, despite yesterday's protests that he wouldn't perform without payment, and rolled back the years with some 80s-style singing.

Michael also deserves a special mention for versatility - combining (extremely enthusiastic) impressions of Adolf Hitler and Frank Spencer.

Despite some suspect performances, the housemates passed the task with Chantelle the unlikely star of the show... but for how much longer?
