I think Gary cam e across really well. Robbie said soem pretty nasty things about him when he left Take That and I think Gary came out of it all with his head held high. He is an amazing songwriter and still has a career doing that.
Batters - the reason Robbie's drug problems and the fact that he couldn't do his solo video standing up was because it was about Take That and not all about Robbie.
Think it's a shame he couldn't get off his high horse to meet them all and bury the hatchet

Bugsy2 · 17/11/2005 11:39

Thought it was a fab programme. I don't have very strong views on any of the members of the band, as I don't know them. It was interesting though to see how profound the changes were on 5 boys from the north of England. I felt very sad for whichever one it was who was driving around Ibiza talking about how he couldn't sleep. He sounded the most lost to me. At least the others had careers or families - he seemed really alone.

Olive, I paid hard earned cash for my 5 tickets and I'm proud of that fact...you shoudl be too

Pah! call yourself a fan!?!?!

I thought Jason came across as a bitter and arrogant twat!!
I don't blame Robbie for not going back - they even admitted that they shut him out when they should have been helping him. Mark was alright though, he was sticking up for him as they're still mates.
Agree about Gary's house being awful inside!!!!

compo · 17/11/2005 12:18

maybe Robbie and the manager (Nigel what's-his-face) had an affair and that's why they hate each other so much!!

LadyTophamHatt · 17/11/2005 12:23

compo....go and wash your mouth out.

If Robbie is gay he'd have better taste than that!

Ewww, Nigel Martin-Smith makes my skin crawl.

God yeah, that Nigel was a nightmare! What a horrid fat toad.

Although I wasn't a MASSIVE TT fan, I did like the music and like Robbie's now (and I bought Gary's solo "effort" )

I thought that Robbie, Howard and Mark came across really well but Gary & JAson were really nasty. I agree that Gary was V boring, and obviously very jealous of Robbie's career - although I had a tear in my eye when Rob said he'd swap it all.....I'll have your babies Rob!!!

RobbieWilliamsWifeMamaG · 17/11/2005 12:36

Forgot to say, I read Robbie's book "Feel" (yes please) and fell in love with him!!!! Have now married him in secret so shhhhh

I REALLY need to grow up.....

crimbocrazy · 17/11/2005 12:36

Didn't like Gary Barlow's house, too chintzy for my liking, not modern enough, mind you he was never modern enough, never liked him.

My fave at the time was Jason but after last night I changed my view drastically, how camp and how wooden was he????? Ewwwwww he was not likeable at all.

Robbie is and always will be the smartest, funniest and most talented!! You can't help but love him!!! I think I might be biased though as his birthday is the same day as mine but he is two years younger!!!!

Mark Owen was just sweet, nothing special but Howard Donald was great as a Dad wasn't he? DP really warmed to him when he saw him with his little girl on the beach.

Good programme though and DP event taped "Lost" to watch it!!!

DP buying me the Take That dvd for Xmas now!!!!

RobbieWilliamsWifeMamaG · 17/11/2005 12:38

Yeah Howard did seem to be a really good Dad bless him. My DH said the same thing but he also sniggered when Howard said he had recorded an album...

crimbocrazy · 17/11/2005 12:44

I know bless him, he seemed quite proud of it too. Mind you he looked more at home being a DJ!!!

motheroftwoboys · 17/11/2005 13:05

Feel so, so sorry for Robbie Williams. I am married to a recovering addict and know how hard it is for him and he has the love and support of a family. Addicts have ludicrously (?) low levels of self esteem which they cover up by arrogance and bluster. RW will feel that he is crap and whatever he has he doesn't deserve. I am sure he would make a fantastic husband and father if only he could meet the right woman (unfortunately I am old enough to be his mum!) But it must be impossible to meet a genuine person living the life he lives. Wouldn't want to be famous for a million pounds!

jambuttie · 17/11/2005 13:31

missed it was it good

321 · 17/11/2005 14:02

Would just like to know where Robbie's mum was when he was so distressed at 19. Would be interesting to hear her view.

MrsSpoon · 18/11/2005 21:40

RobbieWilliamsWifeMamaG noooooo you are so deluded, you must have an imposter there with you because Mr Robbie Williams is my very own Mr Spoon and just for the record he is sooooo not gay! OK!!!
