Don't forget that when Amy was having stomach pains in Episode 1, so was River....
How is that going to fit in with the new scenario?

mumatron · 29/05/2011 21:47

oooh my head hurts! too many theories going around in there.

cannot wait for DT episode though

edam · 29/05/2011 22:12

So the DT episode won't be until October? Aarrgghhh, I can't wait that long!

MarioandLuigi · 30/05/2011 22:32

Didnt River once say that she was imprisoned for killing someone, or am I making that up?

I hope this isnt going to signal the end of River - I love her!

AitchTwoOh · 30/05/2011 22:35

a good man... that's the point. i think i had assumed she meant the doc but presumably she means rory.

MarioandLuigi · 30/05/2011 22:40

I do think Rory will die at some point - he has been almost killed so many times.

I still think River is the baby - but then wouldnt that mean she killed her Dad?

teej · 30/05/2011 23:23

Mario I think patricide might be a step too far for Who, so either River isn't Amy/Rory's daughter or she does not kill Rory or - my guess - neither is true.
What is it River says about the Doctor - he will rise so high and then he will come crashing down lower than ever before. I'm guessing this episode is that time and it will be Pandorica-esque in that the Doctor will think he is victorious, and that he has Rory, Amy and the bambino safe, but actually none of that will be true.

Also why is everything "falling"? The doctor will fall, the silence will fall. The inference is that neither of those would be a good thing?

ProbablyLate · 01/06/2011 17:26

I'm thinking maybe the Doctor has to kill someone so "falls" metaphorically...thats about as far as I've got with my theories so far though

AitchTwoOh · 01/06/2011 17:27

gallifrey falling was a good thing, of course.

HarrietJones · 02/06/2011 10:58
Confused
greencolorpack · 02/06/2011 11:05

I'm disappointed with this series so far, there are too many "storyline arc" episodes and not enough quirky fun stand-alone ones. And I hate, hate, hate episodes that end "It was all just a lovely dream!" pulling the rug out from under you. I struggled to follow a two parter in good faith and then they go and pull that crap at the end of the episode.

It's a KID'S PROGRAMME! It should be intelligible to the little ones! Won't somebody please think of the children? (And the adults who like their narratives linear and nice easy to understand resolutions!)

teej · 02/06/2011 12:19

OMG - has anyone clicked on the Dr Who page of the BBC website today? As soon as you go the page, there is an audio of Alex Kingston in character reciting a cryptic poem about the events of ep7. Sent shivers down my spine and made me a bit sad to be honest Sad
At the same time am stupidly excited about this one....

AitchTwoOh · 02/06/2011 12:48

i know a tv critic who has seen the final ep and was VERY satisfied with it. not me. a chap.

PigWhisperer · 02/06/2011 12:50

Have we all seen this too?

www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/dw/news/bulletin_110601_01/Who_is_River_Song

Gosh, I LOVE River Song.

teej · 02/06/2011 12:53

Oh Aitch! please tell me he is very hard to please?!

Right given that this is deemed a spoiler thread here is the text of the poem:

Demons run
When a good man goes to war
Night will fall and drown the sun
When a good man goes to war
Friendship dies and true love lies Sad
Night will fall and the dark will rise
When a good man goes to war

whitechocolatebuttons · 02/06/2011 12:54

what an ace spoiler! - not 'spoiled' at all - made me 'eeeeeee'! Can't wait!!!

AitchTwoOh · 02/06/2011 12:56

i dunno, actually. he's hard to please about docos etc but don't know if he's a who-head. but presume he is as he called in the last two eps a while ago.

teej · 02/06/2011 12:58

pig yes - saw that yesterday Grin i've been so good at avoiding spoilers but this week have actively sought out the prequel, trailer and that clip on the official site. this has got to be the mother of all denouements...

teej · 02/06/2011 12:59

thanks, Aitch. ohhh i sooo want this to be good. i was this hyped about the Gaiman ep too and loved it so have high hopes.

ShowOfHands · 02/06/2011 13:01

Oooooooooh. I just shrieked like a girl. Well, you know.

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

PigWhisperer · 02/06/2011 13:03

I am assuming they are going to make us wait until next time though?

10 seconds into the main trailer....is that Ten?

Teej - I am hopping too!

PigWhisperer · 02/06/2011 13:05

Of course we still havent ruled out that the "Good Man" is actually Rory. Or have we? I've been away!!

teej · 02/06/2011 13:09

pig i don't think we have ruled out a good man going to war as being rory or the doctor - but i am not necessarily convinced that river kills either of them, or of she does i think it is for the right reasons. after all, if she is a cold blooded murderess (OK with the Silence and the Dalek she has shown herself capable of blasting away like a good 'un) why would the doctor continue a long relationship with her? which is why i postulated the theory that the "good man" she kills isnlt necessarily someone WE would see as "good" iykwim...

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 02/06/2011 13:12

OMG I actually d

DS1 is now looking at me strangely.

I love, love, love DT as the Dr.
