Hello, I remember watching programmes at primary school (in the staff room, curtains closed, warm and cosy, loved it!) and there was always a black and white countdown clock thing, a proper clock with hands but no numbers I think, that we chanted along with (we were seven and counting ROCKED!) and then we would watch stuff and all I can remember is that there was always some sort of factory conveyor belt going on and you would watch baked beans being made and tinned or biscuits baked and wrapped, I was always fascinated by them, anyone have any idea what the programme could have been? The clock makes me think it was on the bbc for some reason, though that could be entirely unfounded. This would have been mid 1980's I guess, I'm nearly 34. Thank you for any help!

BBC's Playschool used to show films of things being made in factories but in my day they looked through one of shaped windows (early 70's) - don't recall a clock - perhaps the successor to Playschool in the 80's followed on this tradition - it may have been called Playbus. I love watching things being made in factories - my DS used to watch Big Cook Little cook just in case they went to the cheese or noodle factory.

I remember the clock! We all used to sit there, arms outstretched pointing at the clcok, counting the numbers! I seem to think that it wasn't an introduction to an actual TV show, more something that was shown before any kids TV programme if that makes sense? We always used to watch Words and Pictures though, maybe you are thinking of that?

Ah thank you! Those dots are so soporific, I can feel myself nodding off as I watch them, but thats probably because of the associated memories of the warm dark room sitting on the teachers' comfy chairs! I will check out Words and Pictures.

Haggis, my youngest was absolutely terrifed of BCLC, used to run from the room screaming whenever it came on, never grasped why!

Thanks again
