I really like that young lad.

mumatron · 21/03/2011 21:27

god, she looks so young on that bed.

wrigglerstea · 21/03/2011 21:27

V close - forceps, section, VBAC, section and now hoping for VBAC...

Liv77 · 21/03/2011 21:28

Shouldn't Susie have one of those young persons midwives or is 20 to old?

ilovecats · 21/03/2011 21:28

no stretch marks here either, and I have 1 dd and twins. My mum has none either- I think its genetics, although I did literally baste myself in Bio Oil every hour- I used to get up in the night sometimes and put it on (am a bit vain!).

Harry2007 · 21/03/2011 21:29

Oh no - rotational forceps

TobyLerone · 21/03/2011 21:29

Immediately telling her it's theatre just for back to back?

NoseyNooNoo · 21/03/2011 21:29

Gulp - sounds painful.

Can't see why she can't give birth back to back anyway.

Harry2007 · 21/03/2011 21:29

Seems a bit drastic

heather1980 · 21/03/2011 21:29

rubbish, i had a b2b delivery at home! not common my arse

Liv77 · 21/03/2011 21:30

If she meant back to back why didn't she just say so, that wasn't clear and concise was it

Mssoul · 21/03/2011 21:30

I had my first at 20 and in the photos after she was born I look 12 Grin

Wee lamb she does seem to be struggling. At least she has a lovely, supportive partner.

Pigleychez · 21/03/2011 21:30

Both my DD's were back to back. I must be more comfortable that way.

lostinwales · 21/03/2011 21:30

Rotation with forceps Shock I don't think I could agree to that, it sounds horrible for the baby.

BooBooGlass · 21/03/2011 21:30

Gah, why have they not told her before that the baby is back to back? I'm glad I was at a hospital that seems a bit less intervention-happy. I've had 2 back to back babies, one that didn't turn, and one that did. The one that did was an active labour....WHy are these women not encouraged to get up off their beds??

edwardsbella · 21/03/2011 21:30

lovely couples but the teeth ?? coke in a bottle for that baby (judgy pants)
i pushed by baby girl out when she was in the back to back posistion ,took a long time but i got there on just gas and air

OatcakeCravings · 21/03/2011 21:30

No stretch marks here and I put on 5 stone! My Mum has loads of them, think its the luck of the draw myself. Didn't use any moisturiser or oil. I was so big that I was scared that I was going to split in two, my tummy was numb because the skin streched so much!

Heathcliffscathy · 21/03/2011 21:31

WHY forceps for back to back presentation???

why not try getting her to stand up/squat/open up her pelvis positionally by MOVING!

Mssoul · 21/03/2011 21:31

My sil had b2b on gas and air. OUCH!

mumatron · 21/03/2011 21:31

pmsl, dp just said he would look into getting us a buggy/bike combo. aslong as i'm the on riding the bike Shock the cheek of it!

onadietcokebreak · 21/03/2011 21:31

not common- back to back?? Bollocks.

Is it that her waters have gone and the cervix isnt dilating??

NoseyNooNoo · 21/03/2011 21:32

If she knelt downwards on the bed that would help the baby to turn. I don't understand this hospital and I don't understand why the parents take this, often literally, lying down.

vouvrey · 21/03/2011 21:32

Yeas, since when was back to back some kind of obstetric emergency?

I thought it was just more painful and longer and required better positioning.

mumatron · 21/03/2011 21:32

has back to back lady had an epidural?

Albrecht · 21/03/2011 21:32

I think she's been in labour for ages hasn't she? That's why they think she can't get the baby out...
