Treats for adults from toddlers’ TV

As a father of two young girls I find myself spending an an exhaustive amount of time watching CBeebies. Not a problem to be honest but until the kids leave the room and I find myself continuing to watch.

Why is it that I love the programmes so much? Is it because of watched them so much I'm brainwashed into liking them? Or is it simply because they are so good?

Anyway let me know if I'm on my own here. Does anyone else love the programmes as much as me? If so what are your toddlers' TV treats?

I've written a article for a blog on this subject. My top 5 are on this list here...

Have gone beyond Toddlers tv but did enjoy the Sparticle Mystery on CBBC. Had my kids (and myself) hooked every night. I have to confess I'm happy to no longer have to watch endless episodes of Shaun the Sheep!

I have to confess I still switch over for Charlie & Lola even tho youngest ds is at school now and I watch Tweenies as well when no-ones about!

You have the world of children's TV in front of you and you chose DirtGirlWorld, ITNG, Zingzillas, Big Cock Little Cock and Gigglebiz.

Right...

(Is this an advert for CBeebies or something? Grin)

Grandpa in my pocket, Octonauts, Shaun the Sheep and Ultimate Whats-its-name on CBBC

Something Special, Gigglebiz & best of all, Come Outside. I find Gladys Emmanuel Auntie Mabel beautifully soothing.

I love Charlie and Lola! I've got DD1 into Rugrats too because I really like it. I also want him to try and find some Muppet Babies

I mostly like the theme tunes, and often play 'Name that Theme Tune' with DD1. I'm not sure which is worse, that I know the theme tunes or that she can recognise them when I hum them.

moo baa, double quack double quack
