That Dad from next week's looks a right pillock.

MrsShrekTheThird · 28/02/2011 21:59

loved them doing the "three months later" thing

KenDoddsDadsDog · 28/02/2011 21:59

Bye til next week. The twins were both fine weren't they? Reassure me before I go!

SorryDoIKnowYou · 28/02/2011 21:59

Nosey. No the man is not stupid, he has listened to advice, tried the options for himself and realised pulling it is best.

FriggFRIGG · 28/02/2011 22:00

is that after a section? that you werent allowed to carry them?!

ReshapeWhileDamp · 28/02/2011 22:00

But yes, they were very tut-y if I dared to walk with him into the corridor. Hmm

Imps7 · 28/02/2011 22:01

Hopefully there'll be less dad-bashing next week. God, some of you lot are so harsh.

pink4ever · 28/02/2011 22:01

Thats tragic. The look on her face when they bought her baby boy over.God. I remember it well-happy but haunted. Hope they can enjoy the lovely family they have now(reminding me how bloody lucky I am that I got my dcs and how hard it was to get there).

practicallyimperfect · 28/02/2011 22:02

I was wheeled up to ward carrying ds, that is how they told me to do it.

And I walked up and down corridor with him, but I didn't have c-section

KnittingRocks · 28/02/2011 22:02

Nope, hadn't had a section, it was just hospital policy. They had to be in their wheely cot things to be moved around.

Pigleychez · 28/02/2011 22:02

Frigg- Mine wasnt a section.
In the ward afterwards just walking to the nurses station I was told off for walking there with DD.

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 28/02/2011 22:02

Imps - I don't think so - just realists

Alimat1 · 28/02/2011 22:04

I think that twins daddy was just fine.
He was young and very scared. He went to the op theatre to support his partner, which he did by chatting to her.
He's probably never been in an operating theatre before or held a newborn baby - as well as being very worried about her twin sister having to transfer straight away to SCBU.

Cried at both of those deliveries today

FriggFRIGG · 28/02/2011 22:05

ehh, thats weird i carried both of mine...no tutting, but then maybe i wasnt noticing the tutting!Grin
i walked out of the ward and went home 4hrs after having DS with him in my arms...never thought anything of it...

until the painkillers wore off of course

RitaMorgan · 28/02/2011 22:07

DP was shouted at on the postnatal ward for carrying DS Grin

LibraPoppyGirl · 28/02/2011 22:08

Awww tears and sniffing so moving. Think the young couple are going to need a lot of support they do seem very scared. Going to try a vbac this time, don't want another c-section if it can be helped Sad

Dirtbagsmum · 28/02/2011 22:10

LibraPoppyGirl · 28/02/2011 22:47

Defo worth a go Wink I'm going to be attempting my birth plan this week [yikes] xx

midori1999 · 28/02/2011 23:31

"I had agreed with DH that if our baby needed to be wheeled off that he must go with the baby so that the baby had a familiar voice."

You aren't allowed to go with the baby. They need to get them into NICU and get all the lines etc in and then they 'collect' the parents to go and see the baby.

It was very hard watching tonight, I am suprised my DH managed to watch the whole programme. Seeing that young Mum taking her twin in to see her twin sister nearly killed me I think. When we got to see our little girl Imogen in NICU for the first time, DH almost didn't go as he was so grief stricken he thought we could take her twin sister, Megan, who had died 15 mins after she was born with us and he didn't want to leave Megan on her own. Sad

FriggFRIGG · 28/02/2011 23:35

midori, that is so very sad,im sorry for your loss.

hellymelly · 01/03/2011 00:00

midori,I remember what you went through-I will never forget your dds,my dd has the same birthday, and I am so so sorry for your loss.
