I made the mistake of taking dd to the cinema to see it. When the wife miscarried I cried like a baby. I am never, ever going to watch it again (Or go back to that cinema Blush)!

Dc's usually spend the weekends at their Dads, so if we have them for the weekend we have Saturday Eve as a Film night, with take out pizza, popcorn etc.

One of these said film nights we hired out Marley and Me, as the owners of a loony Border Collie, we loved the idea of the film.

Right up to the last 20 mins , we all (even Dp) sat cuddled up on the sofa's sobbing uncontrollably.

A beautiful and funny film but as major dog lovers (esp our dog) it was torture to watch the end .

Traumatised my DD (8), who was sobbing uncontrollably.

Still, our generation had Lassie movies as our introduction to a good ole weepy so not too far removed.

Never laughed and cried so much at a film. Loved it despite the sad ending.

I watched it a couple of months ago, alone, thank god! What a mess!

gregssausageroll · 01/01/2011 20:15

It took me a while to watch it. Didn't cry at the end but thought it was a lovely film. I particularly laughted at the dog running into the house and into the swimming pool!
