oh well now its over and i never did work out which one was which...never mind....I'm sure I'll never meet them so its not likely to matter!

Gary said near the beginning something about wanting to hear the crowd go wild when robbie came onstage. And if he can just see rob coming back to himself. Basically, I think Gary is a good man, and is sad that his friend, who he shared a dream with, which they both achieved but then Robbie lost. And he just wants to put the universe right.

Robbie really is a bit of a mess. This could be the making of him though

They don't NEED the money and they don't NEED each other.

It's blatantly obvious from the documentary and all the other stuff they've done in the last few months that they are enjoying being a 5 pier again and have all grown up a lot and basically let Robbie downfall those years ago, but they were all young and naive and impressionable.

If anyone boo's Robbie who's sitting near me at Wembley they'll get my fingers in their eyes! It would be bloody rude and disrespectful and additionally he's written the lyrics to moat of their new stuff!

If you don't like Robbie or the fact they'd reformed then don't go to the concert. Them reforming was a mutual decision, in fact Mark asked Robbie, Robbie didn't beg to go back.

I'm not a huge Gary fan, it Jason for that matter, but I dont feel the need to slag them off and won't be booing them when they come on stage! I actually think Gary is an amazing songwriter.

Apologies for spelling errors. It's late and I'm in bed Wink

It was quite interesting to find out it was Gary who wouldn't let the other contribute much in the early days - bit controlling wasn't he? And that they were all aware of Robbie's confidence issues.

Depression is a funny thing - people react to it differently and it would be hard for someone in their position to admit to it publically. I started working with someone recently whose experience of depression isn't that far from Robbie's in terms of self medicating and stuff. Often it seems to be the biggest personalities that are hiding this.

I liked the bit with Elton saying about them all finding happiness.

The whole programme saddened me really. I was hoping to see Robbie a bit grateful to be back and at least admit that he could be a bit of a nob.
But oh no it seemed to be 'ooohh it was all Gary's fault and he's said it was now so I'll come back ok'

I have been a fan of Take That since they re-formed and always was a fan of Robbie until his last self-indulgent tour, i went to see him at MK Bowl and he was just a total nob-rot.

I was glad that JO stood up to him a couple of times, and I know Gary is trying to heal old wounds and maybe trying to make up for wanting to be 'the singer' previously but I think after watching this prog its a huge mistake and will be the death of them as a group.
Saying this as a huge fan and holder of tour tickets Grin, i was happy they were all back together but now I can see otherwise

wubblybubbly · 14/11/2010 16:21

Dittany, I actually thought Robbie was taking the piss out of himself a bit at that point, although I agree he can come across as rather self absorbed some of the time. I do think that is rather symptomatic of depression, although not in every case of course.

I'm perhaps not cynical enough, I'm a sucker for a sob story Grin

Oh I dunno, I'd just like a happy ending for them all Blush

Gary said something about all of them except him having been affected by it didn't he?

I wasn't an original TT fan either but I did like Robbie as a solo artist.

I don't think its just a money thing, I think they want to do it - maybe part of the reason they reached out to him was because they could see why he had behaved the way he did because of his depression.

He wasn't even looking at Gary when he said that about having another drink so maybe he didn't realise he was talking to Mark or maybe he could see how awkward Mark felt so was trying to lighten things up. Did you notice in the bits before Mark going into rehab whenever there were any serious discussions going on he was singing to himself in the corner?
