So apparently Ronnies baby will die of SIDS she will run to vic for help realise Kats baby is crying and swaps babies .

What a load of shite ! Fact !

I don't watch EE anyway but I have never heard anything so stupid . Now ok it is only what I have read in the paper but it is ridiculous to think that a mum would find her baby like that and do something so insane .

I got a response saying they can't respond to specific questions directly but will consider each email and will update the faqs.

BerryLellow · 14/11/2010 08:54

I'm so sick of EE and their need to make EVERY story about despair and tragedy, I don't think I can watch it anymore if this is what they are going to do.

mamadiva · 14/11/2010 09:24

Also watch EE all the time and have for years but this is a BIG step too far!

It was bad enough when Emmerdale did the baby6 swap/cot death storyline but atleast theirs was done in a slightly realistic and sympathetic way.

Don't think I want to watch this esp at new year and if it is this storyline that goes on for 2 years then I guess they will lose A LOT of viewers!

Genuine question, does anyone think emailing EE will make them change the sotryline?

ballstoit · 14/11/2010 09:39

I have just read this and am disturbed to put it mildly. I am lucky enough to have all my beautiful children with me but am disgusted that people still believe that if I lost one of them, any other child could replace them.

I will be writing to the BBC and will also be asking my friends on Faceook to do the same.

Then I will be praying, as I do every day, that my children live long, happy lives. Because they could not be replaced.

WanderingSheep · 14/11/2010 09:40

That makes me feel sick to my stomach! I don't watch EE all that often anymore as it's so bloody depressing but this storyline is just ridiculous and sick Sad.

I really hope they change it, whether it's been filmed or not.

Rockbird · 14/11/2010 12:25

I'm glad I'm not alone because, on another (non parenting) forum I'm on they all think it's great and that I should lighten up. This is actually keeping me up at night, which is sad, I know but it sickens me. I intend to watch up till Christmas, see them both get the babies they wanted so badly and then leave it there. I don't want to be any part of what happens next.

misdee · 14/11/2010 12:37

i stopped watching eastenders earlier this year as found it too depressing.

the only SIDS storyline i've ever seen which reduced me fully to tears was Hollyoaks when many and Tonys baby died :(

thumbwitch · 14/11/2010 12:45

Oh God, I am so glad I don't get to watch EE any more. This story line sounds way over the line and I wouldn't be watching it if I had the choice.

I realise they have to over-dramatise normal situations for effect (Mad May, anyone?) but seriously - this beggars belief.

I shall email them anyway as a previously longterm viewer of EE and express sadness and disgust at their plans.

BerryLellow · 14/11/2010 13:58

Oh that Hollyoaks one was terrifying, DS1 was the same age and I was sobbing uncontrollably. I don't watch that anymore either

thumbwitch · 14/11/2010 14:05

Thank goodness I gave up watching hollyoaks before that happened! It was bad enough seeing Mandy's trouble bonding with the baby - I didn't even know it had died later.

tegan · 15/11/2010 13:20

all the soaps have covered the same storylines

rubbersoul · 15/11/2010 16:25

I've always been a big Eastenders fan but the thought of this storyline is really making me feel both sick and angry. I've been really shocked reading this thread

BabyValentine · 15/11/2010 20:12

I've emailed and not had a response yet.
