Am I the only person that can't stand the girl on x factor who never has any clothes on? I know I shouldn't judge but I can't help it! I'm also pretty sure she was on Snog, Marry, Avoid.

I can't believe Simon said "you look like a pop star".
No, you just look like a slag.

horrible thread

horrible comments about a 19yo girl

Ronaldinhio · 27/09/2010 00:43

i quite liked her
i certainly liked her better than all the scary i'll do anything for fame stage school poppets

you fat old vipers are just jealous and need someone to sneer at
might as well chose a 19yo for your outpourings

4andnotout · 27/09/2010 08:12

19 is an adult, not a child by any stretch of the imagination. I had dd1 at 19 and funnily enough managed to not become a prostitute Hmm

peachmuffin · 27/09/2010 08:18

4andnotout what an awful comment.

You do not know the background of this woman.

We do not know why she entered into prostitution.

4andnotout · 27/09/2010 08:22

Oh it's hardly awful is it!

She has chosen the profession, there are plenty of other avenues out there, I think always blaming the background is a crock of shite.

peachmuffin · 27/09/2010 08:25

And you know she chose this profession because ?????

I have started a thread about this thread in the feminist section - if it does take off I hope some of you go there.

You might just learn something.

pagwatch · 27/09/2010 08:51

The thing I thought was saddest was that she has no ability to learn from her mistakes. Whatever circumstances has led her to where she is, the chances of her getting out seem so slim to me.

She makes mistakes and then talks endlessly about being so angry with herself and so stupid and all this negative whipping herself stuff. Then she does something else stupid. It is the inability to understand and take responsibilty for her mistakes and then learn from them that will leave her locked where she is.

Her circumstances are so stark yet that inabilty to understand, learn and make better decisions in the future are exactly the same as George Michael, Lindsey Lohan, Michael Jackson etc etc - also people who have been able to live lives with no consequences. But they are/were pretty and have talent so we excuse them and read their 'my drugs hell' stories. This girl is no one so it is easier just to call hernames.

It is all the same stuff but the celebs/rich get away with it because they are useful, she got away with it because no one gave a shit.
Till she was on the telly.

We really should bring the stocks back. It would save so much time

BrianAndHisBalls · 27/09/2010 08:54

Some people are not lucky enough to have good starts in lefe, good role models, good teachers, good friends etc. Maybe something happened to her when she was younger that has made her feel this is the only option she can take.

Of course if she is doing coke then SS need to be involved for the sake of her daughter.

But its really not nice to sneer at someone who perhaps hasn't had the upbringing/luck/chances/education that we have had. And if you came from a horrendous childhood and got through it, then excellent that's fantastic, but not everyone is strong enough to.

BrianAndHisBalls · 27/09/2010 08:55

Pag - cross posted. Agree with every word.

asouthwoldmummy · 27/09/2010 09:04

Peachmuffin - you started a thread about this thread? Have you nothing better to do? Why are you so offended by what people on this thread think? You have clearly judged us all already so why not leave it at thinking how horrible we all are?!

Fwiw she's only 5 years younger than me, and I'm fairly certain 5 years ago I would have still judged her. And 19 is definately an adult.

GetOrfMoiLand · 27/09/2010 09:06

Tbh I am not hugely sympathetic. There are girls like this in every town. She has made a choice to behave like this. To me it makes no difference if she is 19 or not. And to be honest in some circles having a line of cocaine on a night out is viewed no differently from having a vodka and coke.

She will probably have her 10 seconds of fame now, will appear on some show or other, will be on teh front page of Nuts magazine. It will be a break from teh nightclubs of Preston or wherever she is from.

I don't feel that sorry for her, tbh.

peachmuffin · 27/09/2010 09:45

Yes SouthwoldMummy - I did indeed start a thread about a thread. Woo Hoo. Worse things have happened.

Actually I do have better things to do - bye bye.

withorwithoutyou · 27/09/2010 09:51

FFS, I was 19 and I didn't become a prostitute.

What an inane thing to say.

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 27/09/2010 10:04

She has not been described nicely on this thread - but we are judging her based on the way she has portrayed herself. She put her prices up following her first X-Factor appearance, she turned up for the bootcamp late, still in last night's makeup and clothes and probably still under the influence, and wearing next to nothing.

She had a chance to change her life, and she blew it. She didn't prepare for the most important days of her life in boot camp - heck, she couldn't even be bothered to arrive on time or to learn her song.

Sadly it is this attitude, plus her background that is going to keep her where she is, unless this acts as a real wake-up call for her. Nineteen years old and a mother means that she should be an adult - I just hope, for her child's sake, that she becomes one.

OracleInaCoracle · 27/09/2010 10:15

what StayingDavidTennantsGirl said. she CAN sing, and that makes it even more frustrating. she had an opportunity that could well have changed her life and she screwed it up, noone else did it for her. she has a child, she should behave more responsibly. stacey from last years show was only a year older than chloe when she auditioned. she was a young single mum who rose to the challenge and worked hard. lots of people have shitty upbringings and tough lives, but they learn from their mistakes and grow up.

tefal · 27/09/2010 10:27

She's on This Morning in a few minutes time. Just saw a clip.

AnyFucker · 27/09/2010 10:37

she is on now

AnyFucker · 27/09/2010 10:38

and she cannot sing...just monotones very, very loudly

Alambil · 27/09/2010 10:39

it's a shame noone can take her under their wing and try to change her for the better...

she seems very misguided, watching her on TM

AnyFucker · 27/09/2010 10:45

im torn between wanting to hug her and wanting to slap her.

Alambil · 27/09/2010 10:51

it is a bit, isn't it

I wonder if she had a makeover and took the fake hair out, eye lashes off etc and became a bit more clothed, she'd have a different reaction towards her

I do think she's judged instantly on the way she looks, whereas listening to her, I think she's a very insecure girl who's sadly not got many strong role models in her life and doesn't know any better, or at least doesn't know how to change where she's at right now for the better

it'd be interesting for her to try it for a month... I feel quite sorry for her, actually

GetOrfMoiLand · 27/09/2010 11:12

What has happened on This Morning?

Alambil · 27/09/2010 11:18

Holly and Phil interviewed Chloe; gave her space to get her point of view over and discussed the headline claims about her prostitution and coke habit; neither of which exist according to Chloe herself. She got rather emotional and just seemed like a little girl lost, to me.
