JOurney South Caligula - wishful thinking on your part maybe

MamaMaiasaura · 22/10/2005 23:54

do not like chicco - reminds of some greasy waiter you meet on holiday.. 'shudder'

MarsLady · 22/10/2005 23:55

I thought that it was good that she didn't belt it out. You could really hear her voice. It would've been far too easy to let rip with that song!

OP posts:
Caligula · 22/10/2005 23:55

Oh yes, Journey South. That's it.

cinderelly · 23/10/2005 00:04

haha lol caligula. Journey South / Going South? All the same really isnt it! hahaha.
p.s agree Brenda is great but think she would be greater in Gay bars and clubs etc. SHane to win!

As an Irish woman myself, I have to say I hope the whole of Ireland won't vote Phil - nice guy, but he just doesn't cut it! The Conway girls on the other hand (sorry expat), have a lovely sound and all know how to sing, and harmonise beautifully, so they get my vote.
Also like the cute guy who sang the Daniel Beddingfield song though, whose name escapes me. Looks like a potential winner to me.

JoolsToo · 23/10/2005 00:21

Shayne WITH A "Y" (calm, calm)

mears · 23/10/2005 01:35

I thought Phil woulsd have been out tonight. Chenaya's lisp annoys me.

notasheep · 23/10/2005 09:44

Why are we all wasting time watching a load of rubbish!!!!!!!!!!

flamebat · 23/10/2005 09:50

I still think that Phillip hasn't been given a chance - why the hell would anyone think a teenage boy should sing wind beneath my wings??? Did they discuss that in the judges bit (missed most of last nights)??? Give him a song with a bit more guts to it, and I think he can do a good job, but keep giving him wishy washy ballads and we'll never hear what he can do.

I like Shayne (is the y in the right place? don't wanna offend you ) - that could be more to do with his eyelashes than talent though

flamebat · 23/10/2005 09:51

pmsl Notasheep - I think I had the best thing last night... Just saw the last 10 mins or so of the main show, and then the winner bit - you get enough of the clip to see how they did, but don't have to see all the bitching

JoolsToo · 23/10/2005 10:11

wassamarra wiv yer? the bitchin's the best bit!

JonesTheSteam · 23/10/2005 13:57

oh dear!!

JoolsToo · 23/10/2005 14:11

spot on!

Louis had the casting vote last week and sat there blowing on his nails and rubbing them on his chest whilst two artistes stood on the stage watching him. Any thought in his actions for those people who put there heart and soul into their performances or just - ha! Cowell I've got you!?
This week he goads Sharon 'I saved your act last week, pick Chenai, pick Chenai'

I can't stand the man (even if he is successful)

Gobbledispook · 23/10/2005 15:14

Absolutely. I could cheerfully smack Louis Walsh right on the nose - what a prize pratt he is.

4Tune way outperformed Chenai - it's only a matter of time before she's out. I really wanted Sharon to let it go to public vote but perhaps she didn't want to risk it?! Louis shouting 'save Chenai' to Sharon - dear me, how old?

My favourites last night were Nicholas and Shayne (yum!).

Tbh, Brenda's not really doing it for me and although Maria is top notch, I thought the song choice a little odd.

flamebat · 23/10/2005 18:57

I wanted her to let it go to the public vote too - I felt that if she was finding it that hard to make an unbiased decision, then she should let us do it for her.

expatinscotland · 23/10/2005 19:00

I was SO hoping it would go to public vote. But noooo. And then my fav show 'Afterlife' started late b/c of Sharon's namby-pampying about.

jambuttie · 23/10/2005 19:52

I like 4tune and feel they did NOT deserve to go this week.

Yes they were a bit out of tune but vast improvement from last week.

Sharon was an arse last night one of her comments was "lois saved my act last week" AND!!!!! it's a bloody show about the contestants not about well you saved mine i will save yours

Really dissapointed

JoolsToo · 23/10/2005 20:05

Afterlife was great this week!

expatinscotland · 23/10/2005 22:37

I'm continually astonished by Leslie Sharp's acting in that series, JT. And the bloke who plays Robert does a formidable job as well.

JoolsToo · 23/10/2005 22:48

last in the series next week

expatinscotland · 23/10/2005 22:52

I'm bummed about that, but interested to see how it plays out. I think Robert is going to start seeing.

jambuttie · 24/10/2005 09:18

just about to watch afterife now had it on sky+ planner. I too think it's well fab

compo · 24/10/2005 19:03

What always amazes me that even though the 2 bottom acts are put there by the public both those acts and the judges are all amazed they enede up there. 4Tune just seem really arrogant to me because they couldn't accept the fact that perhaps Joe Public has had enough of boy bands and actually they were put in the bottom 2 because they weren't as good as they thought they were -not because Simon Cowell couldn't remember their names. Sorry, rant over
