teenage eyebrows...waxing, plucking or threading?

DD (age 12) has decided to have her eyebrows done...but I can't decide the best way to do it...except that it has to be done by a professional because I am rubbish!

I have booked her in for waxing, but wondered if threading is less painful? Thought plucking might not be best as even though it may hurt less it takes longer? I am happy for her to get them done - but don't want it to be so painful that she's put off forever! TBH she's really not into grooming generally so this is a bit of a surprise and may be the only thing she ever bothers with!!

I thought those with older teenagers might be able to advise please?

Do you mean the Nads magic wand? if so its an at home waxing kit that is fairly precise and is found in boots

nads waxing kit sounds like something for blokes to de-hair their knackers with

am I off the hook now?

In order of best results according to my beautician friend:

  1. threading
  2. waxing
  3. plucking

I get my eyebrows threaded in morrisons for £5. Takes a few minutes.

Threading is absolutely hideous IMO and plucking takes too long.

I will never let anyone do my eyebrows again - they have the most bizarre idea about how thin they should be whereas I like eyebrows somewhere between Marilyn Monroe and Brooke Shields.

I use what's left in my veet wax jar and apply it with a wooden manicure stick so I can put a very small precise amount on. I've cut the strips down to smaller pieces and I find that works perfectly.

DD, also 12yo, has been asking about having her eyebrows done but I think hers are ok at the moment. My mum's the opposite now -years over overplucking, I think, and she now gets tattooed make-up.
