Me and my best friend hope we are really nice mums. I know my friend is very level headed, down to earth, but not perfect. She's not beautiful, tall or intellectual but I (and quite a lot of other men and women) think she's great. She's says much the same about me, but our teenage daughters think we are the scum of the earth... comment please.

Most teenagers act as though they think that about thiewr Parents. But they do love you realy.

It's called the generation gap isn't it? I seem to remember thinking my mum looked like she dressed from the Dark Ages when I was a teen. With hindsight she dressed much as any other woman of her age at that time. I've no doubt that now sometimes make my DD cringe.

Duh! Posted too soon.

I think it's quite natural to feel an age apart from your parent when you're a teen and to think that everything they say and do is cringeworthy. I know I did. I suspect my DD did but now she's almost 19 we're much closer.
