Mine are just the same. In our case I am sure it is because they have no where to keep stuff except a minute locker. Bags, coats, instruments, football boots, lunches, everything has to be hoicked around from class to class. I get mad and then feel guilty to because I know quite well if I were them I would lose even more. I blame the school!

our school has a vast lost property cupboard - half the time, the kids can't be bothered to go & look through the stuff to find out if any of theirs has been handed in It is always overflowing with stuff.

(it is easy to loose things when you have to take bags from one class to the next)

My Dds mates all leave their stuff here. I get sick of trying to reunite clothes skateboards bikes etc with their owners and eventually end up recycling them to charities!

I know how hard it is without lockers and having to take stuff from class to class .I know he had his mocks and he was stressed about them its just the thought of having to replace it all .oh well maybe its in lost property .. we are mates again had a hug ..he still drives me mad tho

My DD is like this... I name everything and it always finds its way back to her... in fact i'm sure she must have her own box in the office with her name on for her stuff...

My ds is very scatty too. Lost his kit but luckily found it with a little help from dp hounding the office. Countless rulers have gone! His whole pencil case containing memory stick ect. He did come home with an extra jumper once lol! Luckily it was his friends so we were able to return it sucessfully. Then topped it all over the weekend and lost his wallet containing £12.00! Of our money ahhhhhhhhh

chloesmumtoo · 14/01/2009 11:53

You wont believe this but after posting yesterday ds came home and said he had yet again lost his pencil case. Possibly nicked off his bag as someone was sneakily behind him at one point suspiciously apparently. He had clipped it on the outside of his bag again which he was told last time not to do again. Argh... so dam annoying. Schools are a nightmare

Hope theres no teachers reading this .....we have lost so much stuff with the 2 eldest ds at secondary school that the last thing to go was a pe kit bag including new footy trainers ds definitely had the bag in the lesson b4 pe ..( a random mobile fone pic shows him in the lesson with the bag over his chest)well his bg was 'lost' he searched and searched dh rang school and said he would fone the police as it was theft ......deputy head rang back ......next day bag was found the teacher in the 1st lesson (before mobile fone pic was took this was the 2nd lesson and sent to me to prove ds work was on the wall- bizarre but true lol)they reckoned ds1 had 'left' it there in first lesson as mobile fones are banned i cant tell them i saw him with it in second lesson so now have to say either thieves are lurking there have been rumours flying round or school bags really do have legs!!.
