Dd (age 12) started her periods about 2 months ago. Since then they have been quite frequent, 2-3 weeks apart, and she is, understandably, quite tired at times. I know this is normal and don't want to take her to the GP yet; obviously I will if she keeps on getting them this frequently. But could anyone recommend a good supplement to help keep her strength up - maybe with iron - not too sure whether this is a good idea or not.
Her diet by the way is quite healthy - she eats lots of fruit and stuff but good natural sources of iron are ...... green veg, red meat, eggs?, anything else?
