According to dd ALL her friends can go to bed when they please (which I happen to know is untrue). She is chased off computer at 10 (partly because its my turn by then) and told to go upstairs but drags feet and spends ages 'getting ready for the morning'. Would feel more relaxed about time if I wasn't shaking her awake at 7.45 on a regular basis.

And apparently setting a bedtime makes me 'sooo controlling' (cue eye-rolling routine). Btw Jura congratulations on finding higgs boson - where was it?

10pm

"i dont care what your mates do, i care what you do. If their mums don't love them as much as i love you, you should feel sorry for them"

DS1 goes to bed anytime between 8-9 usually, maybe later when they've been to karate.

(His choice - he does a paper-round so is usually shattered).

Haven't a clue about his friends.

I would say it would be 10ish if he didn't do papers, but he likes his sleep.

i would say whenever as long as they are out of the door in time for school

there fault if they are tired

they will learn

9:30 to her room with much disgust! Asking me if she gets a phonecall then promise her that I will tell her friends that she is in the bath!

Weekend, we try and get her up to bed between 10 -10:30

DH and I need a bit of space! we love DC dearly, but oh hear that sigh when they are all in bed!

Have to say when she has just been so awful and I am at my wits end! I send her to actual bed, normally within 10 mins shes fast asleep (mainly before 8pm) and she will sleep through to 7am. Goes to show it does help every now and then for them to have an early night.

when he wants basically, I wake him at 6.50am, if he's knackered he needs to go to bed earlier. Atm I often go up at 10.30 pm and find him totally crashed out on his bed, he's been injured over the summer and is finding the return to rugby (his choice) 4-5X/week hard work. If he is still awake at 10.30/11pm i might suggest he goes to sleep.

She's Yr 9, but 8.45 pm.

No set time, DD takes herself to bed when ready which is usually 10.30 sometimes later.

She has said tonight that she is feeling tired in lessons, finding the work hard etc. Suggested a much earlier bed time.

She is also getting really narky with me far too much. It's not like her and I'm losing patience.
