What can I do with a bad tempered 15yr old boy in London?

Apart from run off and leave him?

We are coming to London for 2 days in the school holidays, he doesn't wnat to come, there is no one we can leave him with and he is no way mature enough to be left on his own.

He could (in that lovely way that teenage boys have) completely ruin the two days for us, I'm pretty easy with what we do or where we go, so all suggestions welcome.

His idea of fun is talking to mates on msn/x box/play station/ hanging out with mates, none of which he can do in London.

He has told us at teatime that he hates history/galleries/museums and doesn't wnat to go on the Eye again as it's 'boring'

He is determined not to enjoy himself and will have an expression like a slapped a**e but can anyone think of anything ?

Please??

Send him to Soho

unknownrebelbang · 22/07/2008 19:56

Should I be grateful I'm taking DS1 the day after he's 14?

Good luck!

Imperial War Museum? Depends on the rest of your party I guess, but I defy anyone to be moved.

London Dungeon as a last resort??!!!

lilibet · 22/07/2008 20:00

and leave him there?

not what I meant, but ow you say it..

How about going to the Old Bailey if it's a week day? Tis free, and anyone over 14 can go in

Marina · 22/07/2008 20:02

Sign him up for two days' volunteering with CentrePoint or the Sally Army lilibet

There is an excellent James Bond exhibition at the Imperial War Museum...

Now now Cam you know that if he is sent to Soho the best case scenario is some interesting piercings and a horrific tat...

lilibet · 22/07/2008 20:03

Ooooh - Old Bailey!!

Never thought of that

Science Museum? Very hands on and he'll probably enjoy it whilst giving the impression that it's beneath him.

lilibet · 22/07/2008 20:03

James Bond sounds good too!

Dump him in the huge HMV on Oxford Street for a couple of hours, whilst the rest of you go to The British Museum?

Take him for sushi?

If you like the court idea the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand also good, also free. And near lots of other stuff - Covent Gargen etc.

Can I come??!

Cammelia · 22/07/2008 20:22

Sorry Marina, I though lilibet was asking for suggestions of what her 15 year old ds would like ........

Stick him on the london eye, on his own, and go grab a coffee for 45 mins or however long it lasts for...

mumblechum · 23/07/2008 10:44

Took DS(13)to London at half term for the day and he had the slapped arse face on all day till we went to the London Dungeon which he really enjoyed.

Agree with Imax, also could you leave him in Game in Oxford Street for an hour's browsing?

ranting · 23/07/2008 10:47

Take him to Camden and buy him a pork pie hat or something, then he can practise his scowl and look like a twunt at the same time. And I guarantee it will at least make you laugh.

squeaver · 23/07/2008 10:51

Camden market

Niketown

There's an Imax thing in the Science Museum too.

Ledodgy · 23/07/2008 10:52

Find him a good tempered 15 year old girl?

jesuswhatnext · 23/07/2008 15:25

the trocerdero. piccadilly, camden market, hard rock cafe for dinner, let him take a mate??

plantsitter · 23/07/2008 15:32

That horrific place on the Southbank near the eye with all the video games in it - same building as McDonalds? I'm with jwn - take a mate?

Blu · 23/07/2008 15:50

Send him off to do some of these things on his own - give him money for the cinema and a sandwich - and tell him you'll meet him 3 hours later. He migt enjoy almost anything if he felt he was wild, free and independent for a couple of hours.

lilibet · 24/07/2008 12:16

We can't take a mate - we are in one hotel room with him and his 12 year old brother, and we have theatre tickets.

I hate teenage boys
