14 year old periods

My 14 year old granddaugher is 14, has had periods for about a year now, albeit a bit irregular. She says she uses tampons - do girls of that age use tampons with ease?

Clearly they do 😂

AutisticAndMore · 29/11/2025 16:07
Hmm
BillieWiper · 29/11/2025 16:08

Why does it concern you. She uses them so she must do. Other people's sanitary product choices aren't really anyone else's business.

There's no right or wrong way to use period products.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 29/11/2025 16:11

Why ever not?
The vagina is a potential space.
Tampons are much smaller than that.

Guessing you are an older Granny similar ages with my Mum in her 70's? Simple answer, yes, why would she be any different to an adult?

Yeah, when people are discussing the entirely private parts of a child like a weirdo online, I am!

Actually, I'm in my 60s, and yes, old-fashioned, I expect. I only had sons, and this girl is my only granddaughter, so I'm obviously clueless about these things (I never used tampons).

Hang on.
I'm 69, so almost in my 70s.

We all used tampons when we started our periods. It was quite normal, and nobody thought anything of it.

It's our mother's generation who were a bit iffy about tampons, not those of us born in the 1950s!

What could possibly be a reasonable reason? Also I've reported your obnoxious replies.

So have I.
Unbelievable rudeness!

@ActYourAge
There's no need to panic because your son's DD uses tampons. It's perfectly normal, and I'm surprised you never used them, as you're younger than I.

I maybe should have said almost 80 like my Mum😂, she was horrified when i came home from school in the late 80's with my free sample of lil-lets 🙄.

OP definitely is more Mrs Trunchbull than sweet old Grandma who bakes cupcakes, hope she isn't as rough as a badgers in real life.

Why didn't you ever use tampons @ActYourAge?

They were invented in 1931!
