Help with teenagers make up

Hi I have twin daughters of 14 that apply so much make up and very badly! They won’t listen to my gentle suggestions to wear a bit less. They don’t have any older female family
members who can guide them to look less chavvy and orange and a little more natural!
any advice please?

I suspect this is a fairly normal teenage phase. Are they allowed heavy makeup at school? We were not, which helped 🤣

Not sure what you can do. Make up is very different now to when I was younger and I don’t think I have any advice to give my DD. I will, very rarely, say that she hasn’t blended one bit enough and get her to check but that’s about it.

If their make-up application is that bad though, maybe get them both an eyesight test, and a well lit mirror and a set of good blending brushes each for Christmas?

maybe you can book them an appointment at a make up counter ‘as a treat’ and they can see how nice they would look with less make up and properly applied blush, mascara, etc…

They’re teenagers being teenagers. They’ll grow out of it.

This is the problem with video make up tutorials. What can look good on a camera looks awful IRL.
