What do your teen boys do at home that doesnt involve a screen?

I have two young teen sons (14,12). All they seem to want to do at home is gaming or messing about on their phones. I'd really like them to be doing something else, but once the screens are off they are lost, bored, argue with each other etc. What do your teens do to occupy their time at home?

Both belong to a number of sport/hobby clubs that they attend outside of school, so they are active and have variety. But it's the hours spent actually in the house that I am concerned by here. I know they could be reading, painting etc but, in reality, what is it that your teens spend their time at home doing?

When not glued to a screen at home, my son will play football in the garden, he likes bike rides and likes to cook - not well but with enthusiasm.
Reading time is always before sleeping so he’ll read for about 30 minutes before lights out.

I restrict his time on certain games because they drive me mad and make him irritable.

Oh and he does like a board game still

Mine are a bit older, but over the years they have variously done:

Gym, playing guitar, drawing (digitally or manually!). One has recently made a papier mache model, has done a lovely painting of a place he visited, they have all had weekend jobs since 17 so are busy for one day out of the house, but I know for younger ones that isn’t an option these days.

They do some chores- laundry, cleaning their bathroom/bedroom etc and have all tried their hand at cooking, with two of them in particular getting into specific cuisines, wanting posh knives for xmas etc!

We will usually have one show that we watch together (me and DS watching Sons of Anarchy at the moment, and DD and I watch something lighthearted as she’s revising for exams and needs some comic relief!)

Don’t get me wrong, we all still spend far too much time on phones - especially DD, but as they’ve got older they have definitely decreased their reliance on screens.
