Any advice on good skin care products for teenage boy with spots.

We've tried a few which seems to clear up a bit then seems to stop working so just looking for suggestions.

Thanks

Cereve - anti blemish is good - not too harsh for their skin , only problem is getting him to use it regularly

I'd agree. And don't worry about going to the GP if it's scarring or affecting them. I wish I'd taken my DS sooner.

Azelaic acid from gp

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish as an alternative to soap and they have a light moisturiser. Don't use products like Cearisil, as they are an astringent, which dries the skin out, and in turn makes the skin produce more oil!! I suffered from acne, and went to my GP as a teenager and was prescribed Dalicin T, which was a lotion that I put on the spots - it was fantastic!! My skin is very clear and you'd never know that I had dreadful skin as a teen.

I tried several things including the Nip and Fab range for my 13 year old and we ended up at the GP in the end. She has prescribed adapalene 1% gel

Adapelene 1% gel from GP was game changer for my 13 year old DD, she has it on repeat

My teenage son is using Craven blemish control cleanser from Boots. We both saw the results after a few days. I think I paid about £12 for it and it's going to last

Acnecide is good, but if that doesn't work then go to the GP. Took a course of antibiotics to clear my dc's skin.
