well actually I think it is unacceptable and that a 13 yr old should know better. if they don't why not. Have just asked DS2 who is 12. He says it is not fair, and most 13 yr olds would know that it isn't fair (not all he says because some may have SN which might make them think a bit wierdly) but they might do it anyway even if it's not fair. He doesn't think selling sweets like that is odd, but would not be a good idea to buy them as 'you don't know where they've been'

Teens sell stuff all the time. It is not unusual. There is quite an industry in selling sweets in our secondary school. This is cos schools cannot now sell sweets or choc, and wide boys entrepreneurial kids will make the most of an opportunity. It's life.

The 13 yr old is being a mean cheeky git.

I am shocked at how he reacted to the adult as well as the selling at ridiculous price.

He lacks respect for others.

Teenagers rip each other off, but the vast majority do not take advantage of younger children. That boy needs to be disciplined by his parents.
