Hi

My dd is in year 11 and is 16. She goes up at about 9.45 on weekdays and I always say she can read, but often she just turns off her light and goes to sleep.

To be honest, I like them both in bed, as it gives me and hubby a bit of time to ourselves.

I'd like time for Dh and me too, but DS doesn't have to be up til 7:30 - 7:45 so find it really hard to get him to go to bed before 11, even on a school night.

DS1 - yr9, goes any time between 8 and 10, depending on what's going on. Often he's earlier than his younger brothers - but that could just be to escape from them...

He does tend to get up an hour before them each morning, and he's the one that needs the most sleep generally.

DS - yr 10 (15) happy to go to bed early as I like - usually 9 - 10ish and listens to music or podcast in bed - then up with the lark 6.30 - 7am happy as larry.

DD - yr 8 (12) is an owl, hates going to bed and faffs about well after 9pm, often gets up later to do something she's forgotten about...! But good grief is she a pain in the morning - won't get out of bed and shouts at anyone who comes near her, especially her brother. Oh for an easy life!

Forgot to say - I really really really miss the times when they were both in bed at 7pm and DH and I could relax with a glass of wine and enjoy peace and quiet!
